new here... grown before, but never was able to complete the process, got to flowering stage most times and had to dump 'em... mostly because of moving, at unfortunate times. ; I now have a project in the worx using CFL's. I'm only using 7x26w[100w equivalent] 6500k/1600 lumens per bulb... I am 3 weeks in, starting of the fourth week. -going to add more CFL's 6500k at least for the next 2-3 weeks... Then, I will be changing most[not all] bulbs to 26w[100w equivalent] 2700k/1600 lumen per bulb. Don't worry... I am not one of those guys that thinks you just add up the lumens all together LINEARLY and tell everyone, 'I have 80,000 gazillion lumens!'
...FOR ALL OF YOU THAT DON'T KNOW... LUMENS DO NOT, SIMPLY DO NOT ADD UP IN A LINEAR FASHION!!! AND LUMENS degrade quickly, dependant on the distance from whatever you are shining your lights on... YOU HAVE TO GAUGE WHAT ACTUALLY MAKES IT FROM BULB TO SURFACE..
That being said,... oh but wait -I know someone is going to post after me and try to plead their case.. 'But lumen dO add up!' -I know that this is a common argument across many forums... there is ALWAYS group A that believe THIS; And group B who believes THAT.
anyhow... we should all just get along and try to help each other with useful info, instead of baggin' so hard on others... 'What's with all the hostility? -PEACE AND LOVE, MOTHERFUCKERS; PEACE AND LOVE...
Anyhow, I am not a pro by far, but I am not an idiot either.
Here is current pics of my project...
Round 2 will be better organized and will most likely include T5s. more lumens produced per bulb than these little 26w CFLs. BUT...it's what I got for now, so it's what I'm using.
-=GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE=-
