Compost Tea Recipe

Does anyone have a good compost tea recipe they would like to share for Vegetation and Flowering Mix. I'm currently using "Down to Earth" If anyone would like to share their recipe with the amount of usage per 5 gallon water mixture, I would Grately appreciate it.

Try Roots Organics "Organism XL" a few table spoons of worm juice/castings.

Or go find some great compost!

Or start your own. If you have a lawn/grass, food scraps, and shady spot; you can make compost!

I just use Ewc molasses and some kelp, I'll throw in a sprout tea here and there as well,

I'l be trying my hand at some ferments and dandelion tea for veg in my next run

You guys use for the entire flowering??? I’m looking for a recipe as well so I can make my own and not use bottled nutrients anymore for flowering. Most of you aren’t using much, so are you using other stuff as well so your plants are gettting all the right nutrients for flowering ?

Hey I'm new to this whole compost tea thing so trying to learn as much as I can. I'm part of another chat room and there are people saying a lot of bad things about compost teas. Such as you never really know what type of pathogens or bad things so to speak You're producing in your teas. Especially if you don't scope it. Is there any truth to this has anyone heard anything remotely close to this?

I’ve heard the same thing but don’t think it matters much as far as cannabis is concerned. But wash your hand obviously cause you could come in contact with ecoli.

So you think it pertains more to say veggies or herbs?stuff you eat?the only thing is they were say you can end up brewing things that will decimate all the good bacteria.

if you don’t use it within 36hrs the bad bacteria will take over.

I'm of the opinion that the main benefit of compost and EWC tea is the application of microbes.
These microbes live on and in all cells of the plants and form the immune system of the plant. The microbes can also sequester and transport otherwise locked up nutrients from the substrate at a lower cost than what the plants can do themselves. Plants like all living organisms have waste products which are the exudates they push out from their roots feeding the microbes.

P.S. I am the biggest advocate for always trying to find a way to apply EWC in some way to our plants. In coco, a handful mixed into the pot at every transplant works great.

Ok i see what your saying and i to love ewc.its just that there is so much info out there its hard to decifer it all.
This will be the first time growing in a soil mix i mixed myself.got tired of the bagged soil and bottled nute thing.not to metion the money i was spending.so i have been researching teas to give the girls a little boost here and there.

No, i always use the same thing.
Fish,
Molasses
Compost of some sort
Kelp.

Im not feeding the plants with teas
Im breeding n supporting microbes with teas.

I foliar with it, then root drench with whats left

1/4 cup ewc, homeade compost, leaf compost i have, garden soil
1 ounce soluble kelp, molasses, humic acid
handful of kelp meal, alfalfa meal,
a lil rock dust

Heres mine, just felt like using what I had kicking around. Figured more stuff doesn't hurt. The leftover solids I top dress with.

5 GALLONS RAINWATER

[x]1 CUP EWC
[x]1 CUP COMPOST
[x]1 CUP GUINEA GUANO
[x]1 CUP HORSE MANURE
[x]1 CUP COMFREY (FRESH & BLENDED)
[x]1 CUP COFFEE GRINDS

[x]1/8 CUP KELP
[x]1/8 CUP ALFALFA
[x]1/8 CUP INSECT FRASS
[x]1/8 CUP FISHBONE MEAL
[x]1/8 CUP GLACIAL ROCK DUST
[x]1/8 CUP FISH EMULSION

[x]1/4 CUP BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES

*BUBBLE FOR 36 HOURS & SERVE
