Whats the living bacteria or fungus in your mix?5 gallon bucket
1 oz (2 tbsp) kelp meal
1 oz Alfalfa meal
2 oz Indonesian bat guano, 0-7-0 17% calcium
1 tbsp mag sulfate (epsom salts)
4 oz worm castings
1 oz plant molasses or brown sugar
Bubble 24 hrs, then dilute 50/50 before using.
Your plants will dig it.
Those come from the worm castings. I brew longer if I want it to be bacteria dominant.Whats the living bacteria or fungus in your mix?
I put em on the drain table when they're small (flush/feed), but after they get big with heavy buds, they stay put. I may try a SCROG, but the canopy is already pretty full -- with minimal LST. I'll probably just trim the crap out of them right before the flip to 12/12.I do pretty much the same mix , the Dem tea has bacillis bacteria and trichoderma fungus that bread while brewing, do you do yours for feed or flush/feed mostly?

Agreed. This is the quintessential microbial tea recipe and works great. I do a hybrid nutrient/microbial tea when my plants need to be fed. But if they look fine, they just get the microbial tea.yes this!
Nutrients are the kelp (1-0-2), alfalfa (2.5-0.8-2.5), & indonesian bat guano (0-7-0).what do you mean by "nutrients" though, because as far as I understood using compost teas and any kind of traditional salt based nutrient will basically kill of your micro herd... i guess im asking what are you using as an organic readily available nutrient source?
I don't think synthetics actually kill soil microbes. Plants respond to synthetics by changing the soil biology. There was a good thread on RIU about this topic, but I don't remember the name of it.what do you mean by "nutrients" though, because as far as I understood using compost teas and any kind of traditional salt based nutrient will basically kill of your micro herd... i guess im asking what are you using as an organic readily available nutrient source?
im using the kelp and alfala in my soil mix but have not gotten in the guanos and they seem pretty high ratioed to me. maybe worth a shot... but i think i would add them to my soil mix and let cook for a month or 2... but sounds like you are having great results with what you are doing man!Nutrients are the kelp (1-0-2), alfalfa (2.5-0.8-2.5), & indonesian bat guano (0-7-0).
I've also got a bag of peruvian seabird guano (12-11-2) but have not tried it yet.
