Computer fans ~ 220cfm

Hey everyone,

I recently moved and lost my lovely large growing area.

I am now stuck cramming things in a small space.

I was looking around for a decent exhaust fan and I found this

I have never set up a computer fan but would this be any different than the whole hooking it up to a 12v dc adapter thing?

220cfm for 25 bucks seems an amazing deal

iwas wondering if those could be used i have a shitload of those lying around, the only problem is how many wires are connected to those damn things and i dont wanna fuck up what i do have, if anyone lets ya know , you should tell me too

i did the same thing, you just have to make sure that your 12v adapter has enough amperage to power the fan(s) i'd go with a 1amp 12v adapter, then you can have 4x .25amp fans running or 2x .50amp fans.

and make sure you hook the wires up together...

can you cut the cord to those fans and just strait wire a power cord to it?

I plan on having three of these working at once

I never have had to do any venting before since i had an entire bedroom to use in the last house

any info on how you would set these up?

i was thinking of adapting them to work inline

but am not sure yet

no it has to be a 12v adapter.

you would need some kind of fresh air venting to the box, i used a 4" drill bit for making circular holes, mounted my fan directly on the hole, and then attached a dryer hose to the outside. which sucks air in from the other side of my room. ill try get some pics up so you can see.

Thanks for the link to that fan Mr. Red. I just ordered one to turn into a air scrubber +rep
