Yes, Michigan has Open Carry, as I do all the time. However, you can have "one in the chamber", you can't have it holstered riding in an enclosed vehicle though, ammo and handgun must be in separate compartments away from the driver. Believe it or not, rifles are included in this.did you guys know michigan has an open holster law. you can carry any time you want, just dont tuck it in your shit.dont have one in the chamber. the only thing a ccw does is let you have it loaded in the car or when buying a gun you dont have to get a purchase permit.
PuffnTuff, Michigan has what's called the "Castle Doctrine". Basically it's a "no retreat" law. Meaning, if you come on my property to commit harm to me or mine, I do not have to retreat and can use necessary force to protect myself. Look it up, it's good stuff! Another thing, you're absolutely correct when you say it's "You're responsibility to protect you and yours from harm". The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that Police do not have a Constitutional duty to protect you. Remember this, when seconds count, police are only minutes away!
I'm hoping that soon there will be clarity offered to MMJ cardholders in regards to obtaining a CPL (Concealed Pistol License) without discrimination.
