concern about the male I keep for seeds

how much should I worry about the pollen from my male spacebomb in the tent ... ( I have 2 other separate closet in the same basement with flowering plants) I am affraid it will get everywhere in the basement and that I will have seeds in everything. but for the most part the air from the 2 separate garden is coming from upstairs in the house but in the end it's all connected...

Can pollen go through a carbon filter I guess the answer is yes ...>? and how many plants can 1 male really pollinate ... to the point that all the buds are loaded with seeds?

and I guess I should have the male in the corner of the tent so that the fans are not blowing on it? ah fuck what have I got myself into...

When the male is loaded with pollen, but the sacks are still mostly close... can I just kill the male then, put all the pollen sacks in a jar and crush everything and use right away with a brush instead of shaking the plant?

cut the branches that you wish to take pollen from and remove them from basement and let them finish in a glass of water as you do not need big lamps for males to finish with viable pollen, when the pollen sacs are about to open than you can place the branches in a bag for a day or two and the sacs will open and fill your baggie with pollen, use pollen as you wish.

And as PPS (below) mentioned, kill the male once you have removed some branches, you will only need 2-3 branches to get more pollen than you will know what to do with; Once he notices branches are gone he'll screw you big time and blow his load all over your basement.

1 male and 1 female space bomb in the same container, picture as of yesterday. I was going to use this tent as a breeding project for the winter until I started to use my brain tonight (2 weeks after I decided to keep the male, ... it's never too late!)

ok so what stage is my male in now, ... is it out ASAP? I can cut it at the stalk, put the whole plant in a glass of water by a window seal on the second floor where there is no circulation / air flow whatsoever and about 2 weeks from now I can use the pollen?

There is enough pollen on 1 male to fertilize everything in the county you live in. But it can be controlled. The branch method that ru4r34 brought up will work, if the sacs are right at the verge of releasing, and from what I've seen there is one pod of sacs that is ahead of the others on the plant. So take that one and shitcan the rest if you go this direction. IMO it's best to let the pollen open on the plant. So if you can put it somewhere it doesn't interchange air with your girls, and let it do it's own thing you'll get good viable pollen.

As already noted; males don't need much light or ventilation to finish.

is the pollen in the smaller sacks also viable?

the thing is I want lots of seeds on the plants that were in the tent only I want no seeds in the separate room...

Your male has at least 2wks to go. It will not make it in a vase that long.

If you want F2 seed just put the pot in another area once the sacs separate & swell. Let them do their thing. Then chop the male at the ground, mist the girl a few times and put her back in with the other girls. Once fertilized and rinsed she won't spread any pollen.

a plant wont make it in a vase but a branch would?> so how about I do 10 branches in the vase?

WattSaver is correct you have to move the male, you need the male to mature some more before cutting the branches but you do not want to risk the mature sacs up top blowing open.

His/Her post is bang on, pollinate female, mist or spray down with water (which will kill the left over hanging around pollen) and place female back to finish, collect seeds, and smoke the left over bud!

my goal was to cross the spacebomb with the spacebomb (is that what you call F2?) and spacebomb x medicine and spacebomb x nyc diesel ... I wanted like 100+ seeds of each... Can I still reach this goal?

and is daylight from a window enough to mature the extra 2 weeks I need them to mature? problem is I have them both spacebomb in the same container too...

dood be careful with that thing when you move it n shit. dont touch the pollen sacks cuz the slightest little touch and pollen comes pouring out. and if you lift the pot up, DONT set it down until its out of the room and out of your house. the last male plant i grew was over a year ago and i still get a rogue seed every so often in my buds.

Daylight through the window is enough to finish the boy. There are many ways to collect pollen. I like this method the best.
