there is just some light, white "chalk" substance on my plant. i only noticed very little, and only on 2 separate fan leaves. it reminds me of splashing water on it, and having the dissolved solutes dry on the leaves, but i just want to be sure.

what do you think this is?

I know exactly what that is! That, my friend, is a product of the plants environment. For sure. And only you know what that plants environment is. None of us have any idea at all what your plant has come in contact with. You, however have inside knowledge as to what that stuff is. AND I think you already know what it is.
So you tell us what is on your plants leaf.

It is, as I said, a product of the plants environment. An environment that was not described to us at all, and is only known by the grower. The plant did not "grow" that white stuff. Something from the growers house (the plants environment) has gotten on it, and only the grower would have any clue as to what that is.

It looks like some sort of mineral deposit - calcium maybe.
lol a legitimate answer. thanks.

i should have said i am growing in my room with cfls and a rubbermaid box. slipped my mind. but as far as me being the only one who would know what it is, doesnt that undermine the question?

nothing has spread, so im pretty sure its just baking soda that i use to ph balance that splashed and dried on the leaves.

ive got a fan blowing directly on the buds, so i dont think mold will grow, and humidity is down to about 33%
