Unless your a member of the electoral college then the vote is just for a public opinion poll.My point is that I need reassurance that my Ron Paul vote works against the GOP.

Well then, how do our votes work against anything? When they don't even work for something. Thanks captain obvious, I'm actually living in a free country now.View attachment 2123470
Sarcasm doesn't go over well in text. I was being sarcastic when I said anything about voting, I have grown out of that. Obama is right wing, yes, you are absolutely correct about that. At least he promises (again I know promises are empty) but at least he promises less war and come on, you have to admit, cannabis laws have loosened more in the last four years than in any other time since Anslinger, so judge a tree by it's fruit. I'll be a little relieved if Romney loses. he was not being ambiguous in his opposition to medical cannabis. Keep clamoring for Paul though seriously, I support him. I can set aside my left wing ideology to support him, even his "free-market" faith is ok if he could deliver the personal liberty he promises. It ain't gonna happen though. I agree though, every politician represents the wealthy only.so meanwhile they got you hatin on the gop and they are all having an orgy right now at nancies ....same team man, it doesn't matter...on this election a vote for Obama is a vote for Romney and vice versa
How far left of center Are you? Wow, I'm speechless.......Obama is right wing, yes
Far enough that I think the world won't change until the boomers start dying off. I love my dad, but old ideas have to go.How far left of center Are you? Wow, I'm speechless.......
I just simplify it and say that all ideologies are susceptible to corruption and I think that sums what you are saying too kind of. I think that the distinction between left and radical left, is that radical implies making dramatic sweeping changes to society in a short period of time. I am not revolutionary, I'm progressive. Things take time, society grows slowly. I want all soldiers to be out of business due to a lack of war, sadly, this is something that will not happen.I don't see Obama as right wing, I just see him as authoritarian, I see republicans the same way. They are all in the center with little differences between them, I don't think I am as left as abandon but I basically support the same ideas except I am neutral about unions and I think free market is better than what we have now at least it allows for the most growth, however the major flaw with that is it creates giant governments. Once you realize you are libertarian is only a matter of time before you have to admit your an anarchist and then you begin to study anarchy which is by and large a left way of thinking. I think its important to recognize that market anarchism allows for left anarchism and libertarianism but again the major flaw is it creates these governments that anarchy and libertarianism opposses (EVENTUALLY). Further its important to recognize that all idelogies fail because they are not morally correct, realistic, or based on philosophical understandings and therefore irrational. Logic is blind to rationalism so you must have both, you can't come to a valid conclusion only using logics without the rational in every scenario you must have a wider view and the sames goes with rational thinking and philosophy. Rational Vs Logical, Philosophical vs Idelogical, classic opposing views and its important to recognize the lesson of both even thou each of us tends to side with one or the other I think they can and should work togather.
The center is the worst of both worlds, in concept, it appears that a candidate is trying to woo both sides of the spectrum by trying to give them each some of what they want. In practice, it is a candidate not giving either side anything they want, worried that they will lose votes by catering too much to one side. I would rather have an honest all the way rightwinger (Paul) than a centrist. How far left of center Are you? Wow, I'm speechless.......

If we're calling dibs, I call the "Obama is really Osama with no beard and hair" thread. Their facial features size, shape and alignment are almost identical, even skin colour (in fairness... Obama isn't exactly all that "black" at all)...the pictures of Obama watching Osama get shot was really him critiquing his own performance.I get dibs on the I told you so thread when Obama gets sent back to Mexico.
You don't think for a minute that BOTH parties were well aware of this BEFORE he ran? Child Please.
