Confused about lighting

what lights should i use... i see people talking about red lights and green lights and other stuff>>> should i just buy 23 cfl's and thats is or should i get some other lights too?

thats fine.... no need for others. unless you want good lights, then go for a MH and HPS

youll want blue lights for vegging plants, these are the 6400k ones(any 5000-7000k will work,6400k is more common).
youll want red lights for flowering, these are the 2700k ones.
you need a lot more watts/lumens/intensity for flowering than you do for vegging.
a few 23w will do for vegging but go for higher watts for flowering and look into adding a small 70w+ HPS if you can.

just buy lights, if youre poor just get as many as you can at whatever you can get them at the highest watt eqv rating

Don't 'just buy lights'

For vegging use lights labled as 'daylight' these put out a blue spectrum light you need for vegitation.

For flowering use lights labled as 'warm white'. These put out red light used during flowering. Hopefully by this time as well you can increase the # of lights.
