Consistency regarding cannabutter/oil

Hello RIU,

I recently read a review, regarding Organigram's AK-47. The patient cooked with it and made some cannabutter and coconut oil extract. The review is on Lift if you are interested in it but, imo, I have seen cannabutter for sale in dispensaries and they all had a nice green tint to it. Thank you.

No. The only real way to know what the thc/cbd levels would be is to properly test it. There is no way to accurately calculate how much is lost during the cooking/processing stage. Looks mean nothing.

Therefore, it can look exactly like butter? A yellowish tone? I experimented once with it when i was younger and i do recall a nice green tone to it and it was made with only an oz of vaped cannabis.

True! I fear LPs the most...I should just forget about them! Only in my dreams will I see a compassionate lp offering compassionate pricing for all their patients. I am glad that a portion of Canadian patients found a cozy LP with compassionate pricing because they were "first come first serve" but, if you have ever heard of the word Ubuntu, an idea from South Africa, where it makes no sens to have one happy man/woman and others suffering. A universal bond of sharing, we fight! Fuck LPs!!!

The green colour in the butter is from the chlorophyl in the plant - not the thc. You would get the same green effect from dandelions or lettuce. For example, look at the colour of hash or honey oil. Neither is green.

To truly know exactly how much thc is in the butter it must be tested. I think the wildly varying thc levels these LPs are getting just show how much the actual amount can vary depending on how well it is grown, even top notch varieties can be very low if poorly grown. Each batch of butter that is made would vary in quality depending on how long it is cooked, at what temperature, under what conditions, using which materials. Sorry.
