I know what you mean about always watering with 6.5 Reef but IF he is having ph issues then the median of the water going in and the runoff will tell you what your soil ph is actually at.

Fuck now my dads cleaning his meter and gonna recalibrate it.
Hes been saying he would do it since I started these plants and hasnt.
Now when I need to see if theres a difference hes gonna fix it.
Apparently he doesnt give a fuck about my plants.

It'd be nice to know what his was but not necessary. Just make sure yours is calibrated properly tomorrow ASAP and get'r done.

Shit be glad you got a dad who doesn't care you're growing and i guess letting you grow where at their house? My parents don't even know I smoke. Don't know your situation but my adopted daughter from a previous marriage was living with me recently for a while all I can tell you is in my house there's no way i'd be letting her grow unless she had her shit together solid -- if she's living with me, she doesn't ;) She used to grow but she's not really interested in weed anymore. Maybe he's not trying to encourage your growing or doesn't feel as your dad that should be something he's encouraging you in :) I love weed and don't have problems with weed and if my kids smoke it as long as their taking care of business I don't really see a problem with it but it's not something I'm going to try and encourage them to do either. It's definitely not your dad's job to care for your cannabis grow -- if he does then that just makes him a fucking badass ;) I can barely keep up with my own grow though much less someone else's if he's anything like me he probably has enough shit to do as it is! ;) Can you tell I'm old? hahaha

I was just venting cause it pissed me off.
My plants arent his problem at all. I just thought it was messed up he decided to do it now when he knew I wanted to test mine to his.
He doesnt mind that im growing weed. I've been growing shrooms for about 4 years.hes cool with that too. My growtent is in my growroom. Natural co2;-)
Im glad hes cool with everything I was just aggravated.
And yea we live together.

But anyways when he put his meter in the 7.0 solution it was at 8.0 so yea it was definitely off.
Then he set it to 7.0 and did the 4.0 solution and it was over 5.
He couldn't even get it to go down to 4 so he went back to the 7.0 solution and fixed it from that again.
Then checked the water he was making before he started that was 6.4 and is now at 5.5
I think his meter is just going to shit.its almost 10 years old lol
It takes like 30 minutes or more to check the ph of the water. I meen it his meter is sllooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Were gonna still check his to mine and he will probably be using mine till he can afford a new one.

Im gonna just make sure my meter is always calibrated and water at 6.5.

I was thinking about the compensation thing and was thinking since soil naturally buffers ph and a lot of the water should be gone by next time I water that it shouldnt be far from the ph I water with.
And the next time after that it should be right were I water it at.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

sorry im a day late on my update.

Ill fix them all with my computer tomorrow.

I topped all the seedlings and will top the clones pretty soon.
I mainly focused on the 4 conspiracy kush for the pics. Still in the middle row.

I cant edit last weeks update to rotate the pics so fuck it lol.

Heres this weeks update.
20130331_213846.jpg20130331_213907.jpg20130331_213941.jpg20130331_214007.jpg20130331_214017.jpg

Im definitely seeing 2 different phenos. The 2 on the ends have a really indica structure and leaves leaning towards the obama kush. And the 2 in the middle leaning towards the spacequeen.

I have been topping and doing some lst creating some nice bushes.

Hey guys sorry I havnt been updating for awile. Ended up with 2 males and 2 females from the conspiracy kush. A male and female leaning towards the obama and a male and female leaning towards the spacequeen side. Cant really ask for more then that. I think the more obama male is gonna be the keeper for me to make some seeds.

I also have one plushberry male.

The males are takin out to make room now. And I transplanted the females all into my ss in #7 pots.

I dont know whats been wronge with the one conspiracy kush its just not been wanting to take off like the rest. I keep trying to turn up my light and it burns the leaves everytime I try. You can kinda see in the pic theres some leaves that are curling up. In the next few days they will die. Thats what happened to the lower ones that have brown edges.
It happened on one of the plushberry plants awile ago too but it has takin off and hasnt had any problem.
I started 12/12 lastnight and dont want the other plants performance to suffer cause the light has to be dimmed for the one week plant.
I have had them in 24 hours of light and was thinking maybe that plant wants rest time so hopefully it starts taking off cause of the daily rest and I can start turning the light up.

Anyways heres a group shot and individual shots of the 2 conspiracy females.

The brown edges isnt a burn from the lights bro... You still have some kind of lockout/PH problems...

Can you list out how you are taking care of them... What kind of water? Are you adding anything to the water? List anything and everything thats been going into them... How long did your SS cook? What else have you done?

That last pic is showing a whole lot of issues going on, they should all pretty much look like the one dead center and even that one could look a little better... It should be a little darker I'd say, and they should all look that healthy... Growing with super soil and other "just add water" types of growing should be very easy and trouble free... Lets try to make it happen for you... I'm only tryin to help, dont think I'm trying to come off like an arrogant know it all.. I wanna see everyone effortlessly growing dank.....

I literally started posting to this thread like 9 times when you first posted your problems with your PH pen or something but literally every time something came up... I'd leave the page open and get logged out or a restart.... some dumb shit... but post up that info and I'll try to get you straight...

I water with ro water. I add 5mls gh calimagic (calmag) per gallon. Then ph to 6.4-6.5.

That one plant had only been in the ss for like 5 days before the pic. The plant in the back right has been in the ss the longest and its looking great. My dad also put a plant in before that and his is loving it too so I dont think thats the problem.

The ss cooked for over 45 days.

I know theres something wrong with that plant but the curling and brown is from the light I am very positive about that. I watch it happen. And it only happens when I turn the light up.

The plants always look lighter green in my pics then they do with my eyes. I think its the cree led lights. I took a few leaves off the one in the middle to get some better penetration and when I brought the leaves in natural light they were pretty dark.

I appreciate your help:)

Ahhight... This is what you wanna do... Do you have worm castings or good compost, molasses and a bubbler to make a compost tea? Let me know what you have for amendments and we'll figure it out from there but the #1 problem right now is you PH-ing your water and possibly the cal/mag depending on what brand it actually is... So what kind of cal/mag do you have? Is it general organics or general hydroponics? If its general hydro, get rid of that shit.. Get the general organics ca/mg+ ASAP, anything else is garbage for organics... I'm really not 100% sure the GO stuff is technically "organic" but its derived from calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, the only other things in it are fermented molasses and cane sugar.... The other brands have iron DTPA or EDTA...whatever.... but its no good for organics.... The botanicare shit is no good either, general organics is the only one, until general organics came out; organic growers didnt have to many options for cal/mag so it was mainly amended properly from the beginning or with powdered dolomite when a deficiency came up....

Once you get that, when you get ready to water.... put however much RO water you plan on using in a bucket... add ca/mg+ until your ppm gets somewhere between 60-80 ppm.... After that, just water with it.. DO NOT PH IT.... I dont care what anyone else tells you, DO NOT PH your water... Aside from the final 2-3 weeks of flower, water with the ca/mg+ as described unless you see a deficiency, then add more but for now start with the above instructions.... Theres calcium and magnesium in your tap water normally which most nutrient companies figure growers are using for soil, but reverse osmosis removes everything from the water as you know... but the calcium and magnesium are basically the only things you want from the tap water anyway so its best to put it back or your gonna eventually see a def... It will be drops rather than ML's or tsp's so go slow the first time... I dont really use a PPM meter anymore but I've been adding 15-20 drops or so of ca/mg+ to a gallon of RO water... But use your meter first to see how much it takes...

Let me know what you have for amendments, main things are compost or castings, molasses... I'd suggest some kelp meal, a little guano maybe, alfalfa meal... But let me know what you have and we'll get you straightened out... your plants should have taken off roughly a week after putting them in the 7G pots... at most 2 weeks... Something is hindering them and I'm betting its the PH-ing... After a couple teas and leaving the PH + and - alone... you'll see a big change...

Also, the curling and browning... the plants metabolism is speeding up as you turn the lights up so its searching for more food and its showing a deficiency...

Id say if you have good healthy soil food web you don't need to ph, the soil will oh it self. Also wouldn't need calmag. Add some good compost teas and I'd say there's no reason for it.

If your using RO water and dont add additional lime or oyster shell or any other CA/MG amendment... you'll need to supplement..

I dont have any of the things you listed. Unless supersoil counts as good compost.

Your saying that plant needs fed right?
Couldnt I just do a little topdress with ss before I water?

I added extra calmag to my ss when making it so I was planing on not adding that anymore in my water.
I just added it the first watering to make sure they had it till rooting into the ss.

Im kinda confused how me changing the ph is hurting the plants if the soil is going to buffer it anyways. Wouldnt it be the same as not doing anything to the ph if the soil is gonna put it were it wants it anyways?

Truthfully im reluctant to stop adjusting my ph. But I may try on that one plant and see how it goes.
