The left over flower is covered with what could be described as thousands of tiny storage facilities full of volatile chemicals...like Petri dish sized meth labs. The chemicals inside them are an assortment of chemicals, each with their own natural bio-decomposition process. No matter what time you crack the jar in the curing process, you are going to have bio-decomposition processes currently running, did run, , etc. The oxidized versions of the chemicals become very aromatic and flavorful. They use them in perfumes and food flavoring.

For instance, I would love to know how long the Linalool in Zskittlez takes to oxidize and become Linalool Oxide. At that point, the rest of the terps are good as is, as far as I'm concerned.
