The whole trucker protest smells like politics more than trying to accomplish something. Provincial governments drive most of the mandates and the truckers choose Ottawa where there is no provincial government. A real protest would be spread through provincial capitals where the mandates are being made.
Too much of the pandemic has been about politics. The dear little bugs don't care which party you belong to.

Canada seems like the US in that the coasts are liberal but the middle is farmland. People around the age of 45-55 would have grown up with truckers viewed as heros, those late 70s early 80s movies had a big impact on the people growing up.
So yeah, it's weird political theater in my view, though I didn't explain that very well. It's kind of like soldier or cop worship, using people as props based on their occupation.

Same here, it's nothing like the media is portraying it.. This is a very peaceful protest.. People are not talking about how only a Canadian protest would have the protesters cleaning the streets. I find it amazing how the media are trying to spin this into what it's not.
If you went there you would see every street these protesters are on are clean, they sounded like last night they will be assigning street captains to make sure all areas remain clean.. The media wont tell you this.. They are also planning on expanding from just Ottawa.

Have they kicked the Nazi's out? The two guys doing the crowd funding are known racists and are raking in a fortune, none of it will go to the truckers, but a lot will go to funding hate and more violence.
That Nazi flag was completely blown out of context and that guy was booed away by the protesters. The Nazi flag wasn't a normal Nazi flag, it was a flag comparing Trudeau to Hitler.. The protester booed him til he left..

So what were they protesting? What did they expect the feds to do about a provincial issue? What's with all the Nazi's and racist symbols? Talk to Uncle Sam about border restrictions. Soon it will all be moot anyway since all governments are changing covid policy based on emerging evidence.
This movement was idiotic to begin with and was either started by or subverted by racists and Nazis. Whenever most Canadians think of these people they are lumped in with the MAGA crowd down south. Sure some of them cleaned up, after others made a mess because they were getting such bad PR over pissing on the grave of the unknown soldier.
