Cooking base mix?

I searched around but only found one post of someone doing this. Any reason to cook base mix before use for the 1gal phase, or do y'all just use base mix straight from the bag?

Conclude it is not commonly done.

i cook my roots original base. i found that it does help especially if the base is a little hot. either way works though

I also cook my roots organics base soil along with my Roots SS.....I will continue to do this because roots is known to be a litlle hot...cooking base soil or any soil that has a good deal of organics in it cannot hurt.....it mellows it out man Peace

I inoculate my Roots Organic base soil used for veg. I also add worm casting, mycho, and BB.
