Cooking w/ Trim? Any Ideas?

is it dry trim? dont use fresh wet trim.

I cook mine in a crock pot. For about 5-6 hours, on high at first, then I switch it to low for 80% of the time. I found using vegetable oil instead of butter works better. Anything with a HIGHER fat content works better.

There are other things on the market that have higher content then veg oil though. You'll have to look around. I'll dig up my recipe, it's on my other pc.

uhhhhh still looking for the recipe.

That was the hit and miss part.

It turned out the best when I DIDNT follow the recipe. I grinded all shake, and trim. I believe I had 17gm. I put it in the bottom of the crock pot WITHOUT oil on it, and turned it on warm. Let it sit for 20 minutes.

Then I dumped around 2 cups of oil on it....or enough to completely soak the trim, there was about a quater inch of oil above the trim on the bottom. I let it cook on high for maybe 30 minutes, constantly stirring.

Then turn down to low, and let simmer for 5 hour or so (they say the more the better). Stir it a couple times an hour.

There are soooooooooooo many recipes out there,a nd each one tells you to do something different, so I just experimented.

I used about an ounce or more of trim to make cannabutter (i used organic butter) then obviously replace regular butter with cannabutter and make easy bake cookies, something simple.

Making marijuana oil requires just a few simple steps. Mostly, your time will be spent waiting, however, the longer you wait the better the cannaoil. Patience does pay off. The marijuana effect of this weed oil recipe "should" get you stoned. A great benefit of canna oil is that it can be applied to almost any food recipe that requires oil

Kitchen utensils you will need:
- A slow cooker ( crockpot ) or pot & lid
- A wood spoon to mix the cannabis/oil solution in the crockpot.
- Cheese cloth or a fine strainer
- A jar large enough to hold and cool the Cannaoil material with cover
- A elastic band to go around cheese cloth and jar

Ingredients you will need:
- 2.5 ounces of buds. Use the best you can.
- One 48 fluid ounce bottle of canola oil or olive oil

Cooking time:
-Crock Pot…6-12 hours on slow/low
-Stove top… 2-3 hours on low heat

Direction to make cannaoil
1. Prepare marijuana leaf or bud. Grind up your marijuana leaves using a clean electric coffee grinder. The more the leaf and bud is ground the easier it is for THC extraction.
2. Put buds into crockpot or pot & lid then pour oil over buds
3. Turn crockpot to 'low' and cook for 6-12 hours, stirring frequently
4. Turn off crockpot and let cool for 30 minutes
5. Place a fine strainer over mouth of glass jar..
6. Pour oil through a fine strainer. Repeat if necessary.
7. Squeeze out as much oil from bud remains as you can, then discard plant matter.
8. Cover the jar and place it on the counter to let it cool.
Store your remaining oil in the refrigerator, and keep away from light as much as possible.
Now that you know how to make cannaoil you should try it in one of your favorite recipes that requires oil, like a salad or hash brownies.

Hash Brownies

1. Use whatever brownie recipe you like. Grandma’s old fashioned, double fudge…or even one from a box will do just fine.
2. Make the recipe as instructed. When the ingredients calls to add some oil, replace it with your “special cannoil”.
3. Add 1 tablespoon of fine grounded up hash or 4 tablespoons of grounded up marijuana bud/leaf into the brownie batter & stir.
4. Bake brownies as directed
5. Cool for 30 min. then add the frosting of your choose.

NOTE: Don’t attempt to add extra oil then the recipe calls for, as you will have greasy brownies. ( The measurement that the recipe calls for will also be the right amount )

Warning: Just like all cannabis food, don’t eat on an empty stomach because it may cause heartburn.
