Cool Cab purchased but failing

Hey everyone. I jus purchased the Cool Cab from sunlight sheds and I'l already looking for some hep. This is my first attempt at growing but I've done some homework. I've read Jorge Cervantes as well as Logan Edwards books on the subject as well as Ready set grow videos 1 and 2. That being said I'm still lost. I did the paper towel technique on 15 super skunk seeds and have since transplanted to the starter cubes and placed them in the seedling tray with humidity dome. Maybe I should have went staright to the drip system but anyway I filled the bottom with about a 1/2 inch of distilled water with no nutrients. They are under 18/6 hours of fluorescent light. Some are growing some aren't. Even the ones that are growing though I can't see any roots coming through the bottoms of the cubes. How much nutrients if any should you use during this seeding stage? What about these cubes should I have used the rock wool variety instead? Are they too big? Also since I used distilled water does PH matter and what about water temp? Without a heating pad I’m right around 75 F. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Specifically I'd like to talk with Chiceh as she has the same system. So if anyone can tell me how to reach her I'd appreciate that and any other help

I'm considering the purchase of the cool cab as well. Are you having any better results now? I have a ton of questions about this product. Keep us up to date on how the unit is working out please.

Hey there, you don't need the heat pad or the nutes yet. Just keep them in the domed tray under the flouro until they reach near the top of the inside of the dome. Then put them on the drip and add the nutes. You can really only do 5 decent plants in there. I made some modifications after each grow too. Removed the shelf, sealed the inside door seems, got a new tub with only 5 holes in the lid. I don't veg long so they don't run out of room either, learned that one, lol.

Chicia, you are exactly the girl I’m looking for. Please help me. Do you believe that humidity dome is necessary for seedling growth? Because I’ve got some droopy stems that I thought could be either related to that or that fluorescent just not being strong enough. What do you think, Always use the dome and can that fluorescent be augmented power wise? Can anything be done for the droopy stems? I was thinking like a Popsicle sticks with a little string gently? Let me guess worst idea ever, right? I really do need you. This was a large investment and it’s for me only not commercial so there is a lot riding on it. What about the optional co/2 booster I bought it. When should it be introduced? Thanks.

I have this same product, and I would NEVER recommend buying from this company! It is a complete rip off! I am having decent results so far, dispite the fact that it came smashed to hell! Lots of riggin to get it to work. What I did was put my seeds into rapid rooter plugs in the humidome. Then I placed the humidome into my cabinet and rigged up some flouros from the existing light. Leave the light on 24/7. DO NOT leave standing water in the humidome! Hand water the plugs every day. Wait untill your second set of true leaves and roots showing out of the plugs. Then I put the plugs into the net pots with hydroton and start your nutes. These systems are not worth the money at all! Even if it comes in perfect condition. You are far better off making your own. I suggest growing something like top 44 or lowryder2 in these systems.
