Cool trichome pic but is it ready for chop?

BJ55days.jpgI would appreciate any feedback as to whether this 55-day-old Blackjack plant is ready for chop. I can see amber trichs only in a few areas, mostly on the tiny leaves. Not seeing any amber on the bud. So when they say to harvest at 10% amber, does that mean to factor in the entire plant? In other words, does this one look ready or not? I'm thinking maybe take a few buds now but there wouldn't be time to analyze, so wtf, over?
To chop or not to chop, that is the question.

Looks like all your pistils have turned amber, so that's a good sign. I've read from multiple threads on Rollitup that it is not the trichomes in the leaves (or even sugar leaves) that you want to be checking. It is the trichomes on the actual bud. That being said, you will have to force a few leaves out of the way to check the buds.

Soon. Never grew blackjack and it depends on how you want your weed (stony or more speedy).
I never see amber on the inner leafs but the little outer leafs like you have. I chop it when my plants look like yours for an overall nice buzz.

Thanks for the responses. I think I will take a take a few branches now that show the most amber and maybe just harvest them over the course of the next few days/week. Cheers!
