Cooling Grow Room With HPS

grow room is about 5ftx6ft walk in closet with a solid door 8th week.jpg this plants are still in veg but you can see the size of the grow room it is covered with mylar all the way around when its time to switch over to bloom i wanna use a 1000w hps air cooled so it i know im need to do some duct work and i dont know a damn thing about that so experts what is the best way and best affordable equipment i can use to do this the simplest way

Do you need to filter the air for smell also? or is that not an issue.

Either way, ducting is relatively easy. Any hardware store will have the ducting you need.

Then get your hands on an inline fan (im not sure how big, ive never had a 1000w) I use a 4'' and it cools my 400w with ease.

then there are many threads on here that show the best setup for ducting (ie. the order in which to put it together)

cool thx ya im need filter for the smell to what one is good for the job so the inline fan pulls the heat through the duct

I used to have a PHAT filter. They work very well, not sure how big but I have it in my basement. havent needed my ducting for awhile so i set the filter away for later days.

Then (I think this is the correct way to set it up.)

Filter (in grow room)- ducting to fan- fan- ducting out.

Dont quote me on that. but i think lol

So you're going to post a new thread for every step of your construction and grow? Why not research? You'll find quickly we aren't going to do it for you.

If you know nothing of how to vent and scrub, you should learn that before you purchase a light. You may find later you don't have enough room for the light and hood you first thought.

Research EVERYTHING before you purchase anything.

all right thx thats why i posted to do research and get advice from growers i had a thread but that was just on for hps lighting thedifference between a winged one and the one that said air cooled then realized when someone posted takes some work to cool down so then i posted for cooling with hps to get some ideas on how to

Then Carbon Filter on You Tube.

That will show you how to set your sh*t up.

You're going to need cool air coming in also.

So you will need a fan to pull in cool air, a bigger fan attached to a large Carbon Filter taking out the scrubbed hot air.

Is your Ballast a digital one?[/FONT]

Don't forget to make absolutely sure there is no light leaking into the closet when the lights are off!
Go Into the closet with the lights off & close the door--
no light from outside- not even a pin-hole... you may have to do weatherstripping & "draft dodgers" around the door.. AND anywhere you cut holes for the ducting.

It was by looking at You Tube and seeing how many low tech grows were being done that finally convinced me that I could do this sh*t.

preferably dedicated 6 inch inline for light. pick up a small portable ac from craigslist or try serious venting with another fan one pasive duct in to area and fan blowing out you cshould probably suck through a charcoal filter with the vent fan but the ac will work better
