I think you need to thank that cop for not doing his job and impounding your car, your weed, arresting your friend driving your car with your weed and thank him for not turning you in and having your medical marijuana card revoked.

His buddy who was pulled over for being an idiot would have the cops info, someone has to write the arrest report. Also in this case i would have kept my mouth shut. Due to the fact under law the person driving the vehicle is responsible for whatever inside of it. he could have pulled the bitch move on you and called the tow truck. NO matter if you being a MJ user by state law or not YOU were not the one driving the car. i rather get a good brow beating from a cop trying to prove a point then have to pay tow and storage fee's. cali state law says a car can be impounded up to 30 days for drug offence reasons. So now i ask.... how bad of a dick was he being again?

Why do you care what some dick cop says? You got your car back and thats all that matters. You have a legal card saying you need medicine and on top of that weed is decriminalized in Cali. I don't know how he could take you in for a few bong rips worth of weed.

I care because this cop is supposed to be a knowledgeable person, especially about the law. If he is doing this to me, then he is obviously spreading his own view to others of what the law should be according to him as opposed to what the law actually is. He can't take me in, you're right, but he says he can. For the last time I appreciate him giving me my car back which is why I did not respond to his bullshit, it's that this cop is contorting the law to his own personal beliefs and he is spreading it as fact. That is just not right man.

cops will always win a complaint against them without proof. cops are cops because they swore an oath to uphold the law, therefore if they make the initial 'judgement' that a law is being violated and their is no physical evidence otherwise, the law WILL SIDE WITH THEM.

search youtube for all those cell phone camera's with cops doing bad shit, then follow up on the news stories and see with proof the cop who doesnt have his shit straight will be subject to punishment. (it'll probably be some BS pay with leave, but at least the complaint WILL BE FILED WITH THE OFFICE IN QUESTION)

Cops aren't taught law. They are taught statutes and procedures.

Plus cops are allowed to lie.

No cops are taught law, but what the learn is another matter. Ex bro in law is retired from the cop shop. I know more about cops than I really want to know. The power they could abuse would turn your hair white. Luckly most are good cops just trying to do their job.

The Cannabis laws in the US suck, totally unfair. Make a stand; US citizens get treat like scum for having anything to do with the Harmless Herb. If you offend again you are in big trouble. Judges and alike do not live in the real world, they think people that dabble with Marijuana are bad, it has nothing to do with Mary, and she is innocent. If you are harming someone or something other than yourself it would be understandable, instead, you are the one being harmed, tricked and.. Imprisoned.

Your Laws are unfair (most states), something needs to be done. I'd rather be a stoner than a judgmental, deluded, money suckling, liar, like the people in governments around the world. If you get in trouble with the law over weed, stand tall and remember you are not a criminal they are, for stealing your time on this Earth.

You should have told him to arrest you and stick out your hands for him to put the cuffs on. It would be a violation of your rights if he did and he knows it, assuming you had your Dr. Recommendation with you. Would have been a cool way to back him down and shut his mouth for him.

First off, thank you for your service. The best way around all this BS is to get a county health department marijuana ID card. Then, according to attorney general (now governor) Brown's 2008 guidlines, the cops CAN NOT do anything to you and MUST return your medication. The cops can question the validity of any doctor's rec for any reason. BUT, the health department card is rock solid.

Will the county health dept give up your info to govt?

you know mike i have wonder that myself.... with a doctor at least they need to put work in to get medical info. but a government building all they have to do is ask for it.
