Cops doing Controlled Sales?

They can pretend to sell you drugs but they can not allow illegal drugs to be released onto the street. They get in big trouble for that. So a good way to know if someone is an undercover is to ask them to bring you a joint. If they can't or wont then that would raise a flag. All evidence must be accounted for so if you sell someone a small bag ask to buy a nut back at any cost. If they refuse beware cause your probably about to get busted.

Well, I certainly didn't think they sold you real drugs. I figured they would just arrest you on the spot anyway. The thing is isn't it still illegal to buy drugs just as well as sell them? That seems to be the thing I'm stuck on. But thank you for posting, I always like to hear real life experiences. Sorry to hear you got busted though my dude.

Yea they do happen a lot.I dont know about anything small though.
They'll sell it to you and get you for conspiracy and shit.Like with coke and dope the D.A. will be saying you purchased these drugs with the intent to dilute, package and re sell 30 miles from a school lmfao.
Right there they got you with conspiracy.

i have been arrested 2x's in sting operations where the cops sell you drugs than arrest you, the problem is, they don't actually sell you drugs, but rather pancake mix for heroin, and some other shit for coke...
i do believe it is illegal for cops to sell you actual drugs as has been said in this thread already, and ime, it has held true both times...

the reason cops can buy drugs from people than arrest them is because the cops aren't the ones breaking the law by possessing and selling drugs, it would be the dealers..

also, never understood how i was charged w/ possession when all i had was pancake mix, but that's what happened.. :(
this has also been challenged and the courts ruled that your "intention was to obtain heroin and in your knowledge it was heroin so by constructive possession it is valid" iow words pure linguistic bullshit but that is what lawyers do

whoever says "its illegal they can't do it" has obviously never watched "Cops" on tv. I've seen them set up MULTIPLE stings where they have a guy sitting a neighborhood going up to cars offering to sell bud. I've even seen them basically force a nickel on a girl by basically begging her to buy it. As soon as she did they would roll up on her and slap on the cuffs. They can and WILL use this tactic so you should never buy from people you don't know

Isn't this the same thing as prostitution? Cops put undercover female cops on the street and then arrest the John's that approach them that make an offer of money for services. How is this different? If you walk up to someone you don't know and ask for something illegal, it is 100% on you and I don't see how that falls under 'entrapment'. You never see the under cover 'prostitutes' making the offer or stating a price until a person asks 'how much for...', at that point you have made the solicitation. That is if the cops are following the laws themselves... but we all know that doesn't happen all the time.

Mrbart, I would not buy anything considered illegal from someone I don't know, even if my trusted friend told me they were sending someone else to deliver. Just gives me a very bad vibe. I have walked away from a few of those circumstances over the years because the risk was not worth it for me. Most of the time I was overly paranoid and it would have been ok, but twice in my life I found out after I walked away from the deal that it was an attempted bust. If you got the real item you were expecting to get, it wasn't a controlled sale (they would have arrested you on the spot anyway). Cops can't sell you anything illegal, but they can buy illegal things from you if you offered to sell.
