Corbat420's BIG outdoor 2011

so this year i have ALOT of plants. i managed to get very VERY cheap seeds, from 2 different sources. lets start from the top :)

This Years Line-up (and its a big one):
50x atomic NL
69x Aurora Indica bongsmilie

The Plot:
Its a 25 minute car ride, then a 2 KM hike to reach the spot which im growing in, 2 KM's of bushwacking with out any real trail :) the only reason I personaly can find it: The Co-ords are logged on my GPS. The plot is located in between 2 creeks in the middle of mosquito country. to a hiker its hell, but thats exactly what a guerilla should be looking for :D

The Soil:
Sungro Mix #1 AKA.80% peat moss/20% perlite with added Dolomite lime, Gypsum and minor nutrients. i top this soil with my home made slow release fertalizer mix for Outdoor uses.

Home made Fertalizer:
75% Potash (fine ash from my pellet stove)
10% Water crystals
5% Dolomite Lime
2.5% bat guano
2.5% seabird Guano
2.5% Glacial rock dust
2.5% Gypsum
the Potash and water crystals work together to absorb the nutrients when the mixture is moisened, and when watered it breaks down over time, creating a slow release fertalizer :). i top dress with this mixture directly after transplanting.
Note: I use Alaskan Fish Fertalizer (Allpurpose and MorBloom) but that comes later, mainly for flowering :joint:

Seedlings:

All seedlings are started indoors under T5 lighting. there is a window opened in the room which they are in, i cool the room down after all of the seedlings have sprouted, this is to climatize the seedlings and allow for the least shock during transplant.
for teh transplant i use a root starter with indol-3-Butyric Acid, this makes it so there is NO transplant shock and the plants start growing as soon as they are watered for the first time.

the Small ones by the lighter are the atomic NL, and the larger ones by the buy spray are the Aurora Indica.

any comments are welcome, as well as Constructive Criticism, but please keep it classy people :)

looks great bro.. i'll be watching +rep
looking certified guerilla-ish. keep up the good work!
thanks, hope she turns out well and undamaged :D

i forgot to put it in the original post, but the reason the plants are so small is because i live on 52 Deg north (latitude) at around 4000 Feet elevation.... the nights are cold up here averaging 7 deg C and untill 2 weeks ago we were still getting frost :o. so the plants went out 1 week ago and have been growing like weeds ever since, and im hoping most will be 4-5 feet tall come harvest, even with our short 4 month growing season......

Looks awsome man, and I'm sure those NL lights will do excellent in that climate, cause they're fast and fat. I'll be waychin' this! +rep

well there was a major thunder storm here last night, with torrential rains.... so im hoping for the best. im kind of worried about overall drainage, i know the soil drains and the beds are raised over the water table, but im going down there to dig some drains and check on the plants, the smaller ones might have been harmed in the storm, lets just hope not....

getting suited up and heading out, back with an update in a few hours :)

oh, and thanks wheezer,im a BIG fan of your outdoor grows ;)
Edit: that truck full of weed on page 11 has always been an inspiration to me. seriously amazing, one of the best on the site.

so i got back a bit late because i decided it dig some more holes for some more plants :D i was plesently suprised when i arived because not only were none of the plants damaged, they were thriving! i snagged some more pics of the growth over the last 2 days, its fairly nice :blsmoke:

i dug 3 holes, as im going to do an experiment to see if theres potential for future grows......the holes are 2x2 feet and roughly 3 feet deep, the soil in the area is nutrient rich topsoil on top of sand. im amending the native soil with native moss and dead grasses from the area. i isolated some of the topsoil on plastic sheets out of the rain to dry out, im going to mix it 60/40 with perlite and top dress with my homemade fertalizer. i figure 2 hours worth of work and 3 plants is worth a prighty good experiment, i will be moving the plants there as soon as i can (sadly in 5-10 days...)

on the bright side the Aurora indica are starting to show their red hues, i think they are going to be very colorful plants. and the atomic NL are starting to grow a bit faster. and i managed to get a picture of one of the butterflys that breed in the area :)

Its been 5 days since the ast time i was down @ my grow. some of them are starting to sex, and they are groing like WEEDS haha. 1 inch a day, if they keep going like this it will be an average of 3 feet by flowering which is what i was hoping for.

i Fed them with liquid nutes fir the first time today, the soil was more than enough to keep them thriving but this should add more bacteria, support that bacteria and target node growth so i get some extra nice bud structure later on :D

liquid ferts
Alaskan Fish Fertalizer all purpose 5-1-1
rubicon organic marinis kelp extract 2-2-7
Black strap molasses

i also prepared 3 large holes to recieve plants. i should be planing them in ethier 2-3 days, i FIM'ed 2 of them to encourage bushy growth. they are currently under my 1000W HPS vegging, and i plan in trying to get as much as possible off of these little things. i prepaired the holes with Bat Guano (high N) seabird Guano (high P) Lots of Gypsum, perlite, vermiculite amended mushroom compost, and peat moss. :) ill be sure to actualy remember to take pictures once the plants are around....

Death Tally:
1 aurora indica: Male
the main problem i have.... is the fact that i cant grow true monsters where i live

lookin awesome man, cant wait to see the final product
haha i love your sig man, i've personaly been thinking about this over the last couple of days after hearing a radio program........ one day, i want to be a master grower. and i've been thinking about what the actually means.... then i heard this quote on the radio.
"10,000-Hour Rule", the key to success in any field is, to a large extent, a matter of practicing a specific task for a total of around 10,000 hours
and i started to actualy think about this.... every "master" of there art has spent easily 10,000 hours perfecting it.... i figure over the last 5 years doind multiple hours per day i have spent somewhere between 2500 and 3000 hours growing marijuana........ i guess i have a LONG way to go yet :D

so its been a SHITTY few days. a family friend died, so i havn't been able to get down there..... some things in life are more importany than money and medicine....

i got these pic's last time i was down there (4 days ago i believe). im planning on going out there today to get some work done and remove the top mulch (too much water retention, not enough evaporation) i think there might be the starting of some root rot but IDK, i have to go and see today..... pulled 8 males last time, thats 9 aurora total.

peace and love.
This goes out to Casey, you will be loved forever.

they are not feminized (that would be a FORTUNE! haha). i figure with the bed being 3 feet deep they will have enough root space until they sex. the males have started to show on one far side of the garden and the plants are starting to space fairly nicely. we are hoping for 70/30 (aprox. 80~/39) females/males ratio since we are using hormone treatment with the nutrients..... so they should be spaced at around 1 foot/plant by the end of it if everything goes our way, if not they will have more space.

i life up north. the avg night time temp is 5 C and we only have a growing season of 4 months outdoor.... harvest @ the end of september because of frost. to get a large harvest here you have to grow more plants instead of larger plants.

hey corbat, the plants are looking nice and healthy man. sorry to hear about your family friend passing. I definitely would have spaced them out a bit more cause once flowering comes around your gonna have no room to get in between plants and really inspect them. Mold will also be and issue with such a dense canopy when the wet weather comes around, i'd definitely thin out the lower growth to get better air circulation in there.

WOW man this looks sick! i wanted to try an outside guerrilla grow but i waited a year to grab some more info before I do. If you dont mind can you please answer some questions?

What made you decide to choose the location for planting? How did you find it?(did you just go hiking one day to look for a location?)
How many times do you go out to water?
What do you use to keep away animals?
Do you keep your tools at the grow site?
Do you go at night or evening?
I live in a small city and on the outskirts we have tons of forest so i was thinking of just hike around and find a good location is that wise?
