Cotelydons cut in half?

For some reason, two of my sprouts (about an inch and a half tall each) have cotelydons that look like they've had half of them sliced off. I think it may have been because I removed the shells because they were staying on way long and I was worried it was gonna fuck them up. Are they gonna be OK? The serrated leaves are fine (but small of course).

On another note, I have another sprout, 3 days old now, that's also an inch and a half tall, that still has the shell completely covering the top. Should I try to take it off, or leave well enough alone?

They should be fine. I should also mention that you should never pull the seeds of the leaves. It might take a while, but they will fall off eventually. Happy growing.
