2 things you can never do as a grower is 1) Call the cops 2) Invite people inside your house when your not home. It sounds like you were asking for this. Think of it this way. Education is expensive. Chalk this up as a lesson learned.
I would get rid of the plants.
have some bullshit reason to call the guy back to your grow space so he can see there is nothing there now. you need a lock on your grow room. There should be at least 2 locks between your plants and the outside world. if it is in a closet put a lock on the closet door and the bedroom door and new locks on your front and back doors so management can't just walk in. if you are not supposed to not change your locks just get ones that look the same and if you get the call they will be coming to do some work put the old lock on the frunt door for the 1 day and be home.
when I had my one and only grow, like 15 years ago now. I had a fight with my girlfriend and the first thing I did was rip out my grow space just in case. trust noone
