Could use some advice about my cannabis plants!

Hello all, new grower here. First attempt with dwc.
Strawberry banana
Pineapple express #2
Both from Canuk Seeds.

Having a bit of an issue with my Pineapple express.

Both seeds were Germinated in rockwool at the same time...
Strawberry banana spouted first and Pineapple express was a day or two behind.

I didn't give any nutrients for the first week or so.
I put them both in their net baskets once bottom root came through the rockwool.
I cleaned the clay pebbles really well and then Soaked them in ph'd (6.0) water (r.o.) for most the day (app 18hrs).

Placed a small layer of pebbles at bottom of nets and then placed rockwool cube in middle and filled around and on top the rockwool leaving enough room for the plant to poke through.

Filled buckets up with r.o. Water and nutrients at ph of 5.8, to just under the baskets. Top fed both plants with 5ml twice a day untill the roots came through the net then I readjusted water level.

I didn't have a Humidifier for the first little while in the tent and ventilation wasn't the greatest (now air flow and humidity is good). So for the first little while the tent hit Temps of around 81F with little to no humidity. Once I got my Humidifier (cool mist) my RH stayed at 55-60% and Temps are at app 74-77F.

The strawberry Bananas roots grew so fast, I was so surprised. But the Pineapple express took a while to come through (roots seem to be doing great now, just took a while.)

I think I may have went a little over on the nutrients for the Pineapple express right from the beginning cause I got a few nute burns on the lower leafs.

I was using a grow schedule from a buddy and the ppm was super high and I definitely made an error in my math when I was mixing im sure lol. So I ended up with a ppm of around 585. Basically caught it right away so wasn't too much damage (I thought). Ended up readjusting ppm for the Pineapple express to around 250ppm (0514ec) where it stabilized.

Now my 1st question is....

Would the extra nutes have caused some sort of toxicity to the plant cause now I'm noticing little things about it....growing very slow (compared to the strawberry banana) and the leaves don't seem as big. also I had to readjust the strawberry banana down to 388ppm, have no issues that I can see so far with it. So I'm wondering if there might be an issue with the Pineapple express.

And my 2nd question is.....
I had a couple days where my Humidifier ran out of water so my temperature went up in the tent. I started to see some brown sludge type stuff on the roots of my strawberry banana plant so I lightly cleaned them, I'm pretty sure it's not root rot but I'm scared that it might become worse. I Wrapped my buckets in tinfoil and I try and keep it cool in my place (tent is in basement so it's pretty cool for Temp). My water went up to 81F at one point but never hit that.point ever since, currently sitting at 68F in the reservoir for Strawberry banana. I was looking into Root Wizard to use, would that be something beneficial for my grow??

They look nice.
Question 1, yeah a little too much PPM, especially when they're young can slow them down for a day or two. The pineapple is probably a lighter feeder. GH runs a lot of PPM in their charts too, so it's good to be watchful when they're young.

Question 2, Hitting 81 is a lot for temp; don't stay around there for long. I try to stay around 71, but I had to buy a chiller to do it. The brown sludge could be from nasties starting to grow. I've only had it once but I washed the roots real good and changed the solution and they came around. Warm solutions can make them slow and droopy too but they don't look bad to me.

Hey mustgrow, thanx for the reply
I ended up giving the Pineapple a flush for a few hours with plain ro water that was ph'd and then gave a lighter feeding, currently sitting at 320ppm. I'm gonna keep an eye on it and hopefully she feels better.
I also haven't hit 81F for res Temp since so that's been good. It's been sitting at 67F-70F (couple times it hit 73F but that's because my cool mist ran out of water couple nights.
I also just bought
Future harvest Plantacillin, what's the best way to mix this stuff for the res?? Hoping to use it as a preventative for root rot just incase lol.
But definitely happy to hear they're looking good!

Wow that stuff is expensive. I recommend Pool Shock. Just search the forum for mixing instructions. Heck even household bleach will work. You don't need very much.

Ahh good to know...ill definitely be looking into that thank you curious2garden! And ya it was a little pricey so hopefully this shit helps lol

Yes well hopefully. I know for a fact Pool Shock works. I ran that with rails. Anyway best of luck. I hope it works for you.

Oh wow that's beautiful! Ya I wanted to go the sterile route and was going good....I've been cleaning and changing res every week. There was a couple days when my Humidifier turned off on me, so the Temp in the tent went right up. My reservoir was.sitting at 73-74F ,I manage to clean the roots and get whatever slime was on there(it was a very small amount of brown slime, and the res didn't smell at all) and now they seem to be doing better.
I already bought this plantacillin stuff, do u think it'll help if I used it as a preventative??

Nope bacillus subtilis do very little as a preventative and has practically no effects in hydro. If you want to use organics look into SouthernAG and bacillus amyloliquefaciens.

Chlorine is sort of natural and sodium also, it's just not put together in bleach's chemical structure in nature. Plants use both though in different concentrations.

I'm gonna take ur advice and go ur route. I haven't opened this yet so I'm sure I can return it lol....
So how would I go about doing it the way u did with the bleach??

I've always used this calculator and added 3ppm to everything in DWC, res changes, top off's etc. It's very easy to store clean nutrient solution with chlorine and put the lid on. It will last for a veery long time if you store your 'top off" solution this way. Work to keep EC and pH constant and monitor repeatable drift every day.

I'm lazy these days and only use about 25% stronger nutrient mixes and RO water to dilute down to the strength I want. One big jug for each one.

Read on the label and make sure it's only sodium hypochlorite in solution and at what % strength.
