and hermies are still good to cook and make some tasty brownies! also the bud on hermies is still smokable. but i think the guy who started this has been scared away
I left a message on his page just in case he does come back just to generally apologise for the events of this topic, things got out of hand but as I told him if anything the things that were said here mainly reflect the attitude that most members have towards bullies. I find that the majority of members won't tolerate rudeness and that's something that makes me proud to be a RIU member. I do hope that he's not been chased away by a few people that I don't feel give a good first impression of the site.
Anyway, I'd recommend we stop mentioning people like Slimjim, I doubt that if he returns he'll really want to come back to the RIU civil war
I'd definitely recommend making some cannabutter there though, so many uses to it and I personally find cooking enjoyable even without such a fun ingredient

Where is the proof? No sorry the best hash is made with fresh trim or Plant matter using bubble buckets ice and purified water but hey what do i know? If you took a full female plant and made hash it would make more hash and be stronger sorry buddy male pollen gives you a headache.

I hate to tell you but sensimilla is a very new concept and a lot of growers (especially ones who've been growing since the old days) would argue that the best bud is bud which has been seeded. Seeded bud doesn't necessarily even lose potency, it just stops producing THC, so if it was seeded late into flowering it can be every bit as potent. Not to mention that the idea of hash/oil/cannabutter etc. is to draw the THC out so that hermie or female it would all be the same stuff.
Also the strongest method of extraction is butane honey oil by most peoples' consensus, fuck bubble hash

Are you joking me?! Some of the best breeders/Cannabis cup winners intentionally seed one lower branch because it causes the whole plant to produce more resin and more THC in that resin. Look it up.
The Charas producers in India never separate males and females because seeded buds produce the best hash...

Dude yeah i know been smoking 17 years but from my experience bud that is that seeded is is never good smoke its early in flowering from the looks and those seed look like they are splitting the pistils witch is a sign that they are close to being mature or are mature meaning he was pollinated early on in flowering so like you said has stopped producing thc awhile ago.....

Actually,plants produce more THC when seeded,just the seeds take up most of the weight. Hence why people don't like seeded buds.
Learn some basics.
Big ass plants make for lots of THC, he may not make a massive quantity of hash but he can make it every bit as strong. As I said, the idea is to seperate the THC, and can do this in a smaller amount of substance in order to make the solute more concentrated, the only thing that could ever stop him from increasing the amount of THC in the hash would be when he saturates the mixture meaning that it is at maximum capacity of THC dissolved into it.
Long story short a pile of low THC trimmings of weed can make a block of hash with the same strength as a pile of chronic. In actuallity it's just more likely to mean less THC wasted by saturating the mixture.
Personally I can't support this, many will say (and I've only ever heard this being said) that at the point at which the embryo becomes seed the plant slows and stops producing THC and resin because it no longer needs it to "shield" and "catch".
So much remains unknown though, which would not be the case without prohibition. Oh how a useless law sets you back decades.

I don't mean to sound like "The disagreeing dick" but do you happen to have a link? Not saying you're wrong because you evidently have far more experience than me but this is something that I find very interesting because I've never heard of that before.

I did a little digging for myself, and the concept of stronger seeded buds was first cited in Robert Clarke's "Marijuana botany- an advanced study". He states that because the plant still needs to protect the seeds, it gives itself two primary functions, producing viable seeds and producing more trichomes within the vicinity of the seeds because they act as a natural sunscreen to UV which is otherwise harmful. The science actually seems sound behind. Until you publish a book of your own studies, slimjim, I'm actually going to go with Clarke on this one and do some more in-detail reading of his studies.
I probably won't go through the effort of seeding my buds but if it all pans out I may actually start.
