Whattup RIU! Hope all is well.So im am about to flip some plants and I have a few things Id like to get worked out/fixed before doing so. Little background Im vegging my gurls right now under 3 air cooled 1000w in a 11x22 insulated room (obviously not using the whole room). I'm using one 8 inch to vent the lights outside(comes on when lights come on and pushing). I have a 6 inch for intake from outside and one 8 inch exhausting the room into the attic on top of room. Both of those are connected to envir. controller as well as 50 pint dehumidifier giving me control(somewhat) of temp and humidity. so here are my problems/questions.....
1. Condensation- Where my light venting begins to come into the room from the attic condensation has been building on the venting(when temps drop outdoors...live in CO). Dripping occurs some nights and of course it freaks me out. I have done some research however have not seemed to find a sure fit solution. One that seemed most solid was pulling air through my lights instead of pushing thus not slightly heating the air before it hits the lights. What if i added another 8 inch to the other end and push and pulled the air? Just a idea i thought might help.
2. Temps- Its starting to get cold out here at night(30s) and im sure it will only get colder. My system doesn't really over heat because of the environment controller and i run lights at night. However i have no way to keep the room warmer. As a temporary solution i put a small space heater in there but its second hand and temp setting isnt very accurate. What do I have to do to keep my room warm even when lights are on? Is a space heater my only option?
3. So I had an idea.....not sure if it would work....what if i stopped air cooling the lights and opened them up. Took that 8 incher used on them and use it to exhaust the room along with my other 8 incher? So 6 inch intake to bottom of room and two 8 inchers exhausting the top of the room. All fans connected to my environment controller. I feel like i would be killing two birds with one stone. No more condensation and my lights can now be used to heat the room. Since im about to flip my lights will be on 7pm-7am.
Thanx for any help peeps and sorry if this came out unorganized. Happy growing!
