Couple of CFL/Mainline questions

I have started a 12/12 from seed, and as expected the growth is slow. I was wondering if anyone, who was familiar with the mainlining thread, could let me know if it's okay to use the mainlining technique with a 12/12 grow. I've seen 12/12 grows and most look like one main cola, whereas for mainlining there can be anywhere from 8-32 main colas.

Now to the CFL questions.

1) I'm growing one plant with four 23w CFL's with about 7000 lumens. Is this sufficient?
2) Is it too late to go from 12/12 to 18/6? Then when time to flower back to 12/12?
3) Suppose I keep going with 12/12, when should I add my warm white lights?

Hi. I'm also doing a 12/12 from seed CFL grow. I think the idea behind 12/12 from seed is that you basically do nothing to the plant and get it to finish quickly. I have one genuine 12/12 from seed plant but I found I did not like 12/12 from seed using CFL's (seems to work better with HPS) so my next batch of seedlings are all in a separate 24/0 vegging/seedling area and will get 24 hours of darkness before being put in the main flower tent.

CFL questions

1 Fine for Veg. You'll want to add 1-3k lumens for flower.

2 I'd say not although you might want to make the adjustment gradually. Say 1 hour a day.

3 Basically when you think the plant is big enough. I just switched to 100% warm white a few days ago on my grow and the plant has responded magnificently. Growth has really spurted. I think even right from the start you can have ~SOME warm white in there as long as it never goes above a ratio of 2 - 1 vs bright white. i.e. - 7k lumens in veg about 5k should be bright white and 2k warm white.

Finally I know exactly what you mean about slow initial growth in veg with 12/12. Very frustrating as it is meant to speed up the whole process. Did not work that way for me but I probably did several things wrong as well.
