couple quick questions

Ok .. im on day 11 of VEG. my babies look alright .. i just went out and purchased the foxfarm trio pack of nutes.. and i was just wondering when i can start using them .. and actually when to use each one.. i wasn't really sure on exactly when and how to use them .. i know your supposed to start with a 1/4 the recomended does at first.. but then when do i go to normal doses..

Oh one more thing . i can see my roots coming out the bottom of the pot.. is that time to transfer into its final home..

mix what it says on the bottle then dilute that to 1/4 strength....
after a couple feedings up to a half dose and so on....if u up the dose and ur plant shows signs of nute burn then use a weaker solution
and yes its time to transplant

ok just so im absolutely clear on what you just said.. if it says use 4 tbsp per gal. of water..im going to use 1 tbsp per gal. of water for the first few feedings.. and then mix them in a gallon container and finally adjust my ph accordingly.

and at what time should i start using nutes.. i dont want to start too soon.

thats correct or u can mix the full dose and dilute 1 part nute with 3 parst water....that way if u wanna up the dose u dont have to mix a diff gal
u can start 1/4 now.....whenever the seedling has 4 true leaves

What type of soil are you using?

miracle grow... all purpose ... i was talking to a couple people and they say that i should..change soil.. when i transplant.. wasn't sure.. as of right now.. im transplanting within the next day ... but i havne't had any problems with the soil as of yet.

if ur using mg then u prob shouldnt add any nutes yet while in veg
i think mg has 2 month time release fert

ok .. i decided to go with some new soil.
Its called pro-mix.

and i decided to get some plant food.. i have pics.. i need to know if this is the right stuff.. and i need to know what else to get to go with it..and when to start the nutes.. becauase the soil .. has no time release ferts or nutes.. and im going to be transplanting MG into the new soil..

the NPK ratio on the plant foood is 8-0-0
im guessing its good for veg state... but ill need something for flower

8-0-0?
ur still need P and K for veg
whats the npk of soil
and u need a diff fert

yep
see if u can find one with a fert ratio of 2-1-2....i.e.8-4-8
and opposite for flower....1-2-2...i.e.4-8-8

ok .. im going back to the store in a few minutes.. as far as the soil is looking thats cool right .. they had a shite load of stuff to look at i guess i was just a little overwhelmed.

yeah just make sure its got good drainage

ok .. it has alot of perlite in it .. i am lookin at it now.. im gonna go with it.. seems better then the mg..

canadian sphagnum peat moss (75 to 80% by volume)
vermiculite
perlite
limestone
wetting agent.

cool...it prob is
when u transplant that into the other soil,i wouldnt start adding nutes if the mg still has nutes in it...

yea.. i realized that as i was transplanting .. and i figure until i get my other nutes.. the ones in the MG will carry it for the week or two more i need it to .. i ddint really want to disturb any of the roots.. when i had it out.. so i decided that i already shocked it enuf that i wasn't gonna lightly shake out the old soil.
