AC man came pretty early, so I got over to the BP patch with food and water. Killed the CP1 {#2BP} male and dusted the young CP1 and Slo2 again. It has rained each time I've done it, so I tried again. Huge thunderstorm about an hour afterward. Hope it had enough time.

Here is the cloud about 5 minutes before it opened up.

The CP1 {#2BP} male. I tried cutting off the shoots again, but they were so touchy, I just cut the two major limbs and eased over to the girls and gave it a shake. Then I stripped off all the smaller leaves for bread making. I'm starting to like the edibles.

Went on to the Deer Ate CP1 with light food and water. It was dying more each time I saw it, so I went ahead and chopped. Really hated to think about watching it die bit by bit. I had a high regard for this plant, coming up from it's humble beginnings like it did.

Got about 1/2 of a grocery bag of leaves and little buds.

This morning I got the BST1 from the GN patch halfway trimmed. It must be a little further along. The seeds are looking mature. I got 3/4 ounce. I'm calling it Hurricane Head, in the tradition of Norman Mailer's Tough Guys Don't Dance.

I shelled a little of it, to replace the bought pot and tops in my stashes around the farm.

I'm pretty sure those seeds are BST2 male X BST1 female. But I will look back to make sure.

He was in tall weeds. Two buzzards flew up, or I wouldn't have seen him. It took me a few minutes, even knowing something was there.

I got down to the FP patch on Tuesday. The BST1 {FP} had fallen over. I duct taped it and got it up off the ground.

The BST2 {#3FP} had more bud rot. I cut away all of it, and everything close. I washed these buds in hot, then cold water. Did help with the neem taste.

The BST2 {#2FP} was looking good. Just one spot of rot where a leaf had fallen on a lower bud.

My laptop is fucking with my pictures, so my memory might not be as sharp as it normally is. But I will persevere. I'll load a picture then try to remember where it was at.

This looks like it was a male CP1 in the 3DT patch. I killed two of them and saved the pollen.

Also killed the male in DDW patch. Did not save that pollen.

Alright, I have my memory, I mean, my pictures back. Tuesday night I went to the GB patch and killed the GV1{or 2} male there. This was one of the late season runts. It got over 6 feet, and you can never have too much pollen, so I saved the shoots off this one.

Wednesday morning bright and early, I hiked over to the AL patches. I killed one CPDA male and clipped the shoots off another one. This one in the hole with the female is the one I'm using for breeding. I dusted the two CPDA females right there, and one in the other end of the patch. The 4th one most likely got a little pollen for the older male, but neither of them are keepers in the genetic sense.

On Thursday, September 15th, I planted 9 [BST2 {#1FP} male X BST2 {#3FP} female] seeds in round pots. 5 [BST2 {GN} male X BST1 {GN} female] seeds in square pots. Also did one tray jumper in bigger round pot. It was one or the other of those two.

The BST2 {#3 FP} seeds are hereby known as Rotten Stinking Bastard. The BST1 {GN} seeds are hereby known as Hurricane Head.

I'm going to do a winter crop with these. Most likely with natural light only. Want to see what they will do in cold weather, and I have plenty of seeds from both.

This morning I went to the GN patch with food and water. The BST2's are late transplants, so pretty small, but looks like it will be good.

The BST1 that broke from the hurricane had broke again. I might could have taped it, but I went ahead and chopped. Well, I did leave two little buds. Will see what they do. Last week over half of the seeds were mature, so that should be higher now. I like the looks of this strain, but I don't like the weak stalks. I'll do some more crosses with them with my winter and spring crops.
