Today I checked on the young CP1 and the Slo2 in the BP patch. I could find no worms.

Also checked on FP patch. Took a few buds from each of the three plants, but the least I have had to cut in a few weeks. The dry weather must be helping.

Also went to SOL, GV and Slo patches. No sign of worms on any of them. Last week there was a broken branch on the young 88 {F1} female. I had duct taped it up, but it was cashing, so I cut it off. Got the first 88 seeds of the year. I had dusted her with pollen from the young 88 Hermie. I had decided to keep the Hermie, and the two plants were so close, I was afraid to use other pollen on her.

Fall/Winter update.

This is my Hurricane Head seedling. BST2 male GN X BST1 female GN. Those leaves are funky as shit. The BST1's all had three pointed leaves.

And the Peach seedlings. BST2 male FP#1 X BST2 female FP#2. If all goes according to plan, they will all be moved tomorrow.

I got out early and moved the seedlings. I put them in the edge of the marsh grass. It's pretty dry right now. If we get lots of rain, they might have to be moved. {I just sunk the pots} All five of them are in the last picture. I figured putting them close together would make less of a trail.

Also got over to the GN patch with a gallon of water in my pack. I picked a few buds off the BST2. I took the tip bud off each limb. About a week more for the rest looks like. The ones I picked off this plant last week is the first really good tasting buds of the year. Not having to spray with Neem in flower will make for better taste I'm told. This is a Darwin Dope patch, so plant is small, but well worth the trouble I think. Plus these had no mold, worms or rot, so I will give the seeds more of a chance then RSB and Peach {the other BST2 plants}. Haven't thought up a name for this girl yet.

I had a big day of hiking and checking on my patches yesterday. I got to ALe and ALw early. I found my cousin out walking, hoping to see a deer. Once she left, I checked on the plants, then hiked 3 or 4 miles, going up and down the same hill. I walked up 4 or 5 wild turkeys my 1st time around the land.

I cut two of the CPDA's that were not doing too good. That leaves me with two. Looks like I'm going to be here for a while yet.

The CP1 in ALw that had the same problem as the Deer Ate CP1 had was getting worse all the time. So I cut her down. A few seeds were ready, so it made the deciding easier. The seeds are BST2 FP#1 male X CP1 ALw#3 female.

This CP1 looks a little better.

After a trip to town so I could lunch with my wife {so I could get to the camp early}, I went to the BP patch. The Slo2 is about 9 feet tall, but never filled out. Not enough light.

The young CP1 is doing alright. The fact that lots of the limbs are growing to the side makes it easier to strip the dead leaves off.

After supper at the camp, I went back to 3DT and JP patches. I had the camera, but it was too dark for good pictures without the flash, and I didn't want to be flashing.

I did get a picture of the sunset when I was coming back. Just missed the ducks I spooked getting down closer to the water for a better view. They did fly back a few minutes later.

I skipped a patch. Between lunch and me going to the camp, I went to the HR and PH patches. The ones in the HR patch are really hurting from the dry weather. I cut three. One dead, one dying and one just looking like crap. Did get seeds off all three of them. GV1 X GV1. Unless there is one I can't find, that is all the HR plants. The getting in and out situation changed on me, and I just couldn't get back there to tend them when they needed it. That will be changing, just not sure when it will be.

There are 2 GV2's in the PH patch.

This morning I packed food and water back to the KP patches. KPe has 2 CP1's and 2 Slo2's.

This is one of the Slo2's that got deer ate early and came back.

There are 3 Slo2's in KPw. This is one of them.

I also checked on the GV2 in the GB patch and watered the seeds I put there. Watered the seedlings in the marsh grass. They are looking good.

Last night I put 4 Hurricane Head {FP} seeds in coffee cups. I'll be testing some of my crosses soon.

One of the Peach seeds I planted in the GB patch has came up. It was about two inches high, so I topped it off with potting soil. The seeds have been in the ground for a week now.

None of the 4 HH seeds in coffee cups are up yet.

I watered the plants in the marsh grass with a weak dose of 11-2-1. They are growing like crazy. I forgot my camera though.

I took food and water to the GV2 in the GB patch this morning. She is looking pretty good.

Also food and water to the Slo2 and CP1 in BP patch. I took some of the lower limb popcorn off the Slo2. It is not kicking as high as the CP1.

I did remember the camera when I got to the FP patch. There is a few buds left on Rotten Stinking Bastard. They are starting to frost up now.

Didn't have to cut any bud off Peaches today. Just waiting.
