Alright, i'm back on the forums. it feels good to know i'm gonna give this another shot. Basically, i have experience growing indoors from my last grow, and plenty of quality equipment to get the job done, and done right. i know if i just had a place to grow indoors that i would be able to grow some sweet-ass bud.

but i don't have a place. instead i have this post.

https://www.rollitup.org/outdoor-growing/17374-lets-get-started.html

So there you have it. I'm gonna try to grow outdoors now.

It's 2:29AM right now, and later on in the morning i think i'm going to plant 3 seeds indoors and let them go for 7-14 days before i move them outside. i'm not too worried about being caught so long as i have some other plants growing around them. my parents are used to me growing other stuff.

so this is the beginning of my grow journal.

Please feel free to make posts!
i appreciate any advice or comments!

:peace:

Yesterday i filled an egg carton evenly throughout an empty egg carton. Then i went to my collection of seeds and chose the 9 blackest, plumpest seeds i could find. After spraying down the soil and getting it nice and moist, i poked little holes about 1/4 inch deep in 9 compartments with a pen cap. I placed a seed in each one of these holes then brushed some soil over-top of the holes to bury the seed. As soon as i was finished, i grabbed my spray bottle and misted the top of the soil with spring water.

For the next day or so i want to keep a good eye on the egg carton, because the moment i notice the first sprout coming up, i'm going to plug in my 4200 lumen 6500 K grow lamp and set the timer for 18 hours on and 6 hours off. I'm also going to make sure that i move my lamp down to about an inch above the soil, because i only have 4200 lumens for these plants, and in order to insure optimal growth rates, i want to get the lamp right in my plant's faces. Also, the CFL bulbs give off very little heat; such a small amount that the plants actually don't mind touching them, and if anything, seem to like it.

i'm psyched to finally be growing again withing the next 2-3 days.

^^press the soil a bit down on the seeds so they get a firm hold in the soil helps a bit with sprucing them too. and to speed i up a bit more add some cloning hormone to your spays water. it would have been better to add some hormone to the soil ahead of time but this will still work.

Yesterday the first plant sprouted. Since i only chose the blackest, ripest seeds, the seed shell was nice and dry and cracked so the little seedling could easily break free.

Sometimes when you use seeds that are green and still have a strong shell, the plant will have a difficult time breaking out of the shell. For my last grow, i used all green seeds. I had this seed shell problem for basically every one of my 5 original plants. Basically, after a while the shell will dry out and the plant can muscle it's way out. And if that isn't the case, you can always remove the shell by gently pulling it off of the plant with tweezers or something. There's a chance that the plant will look a bit fucked up from this, but marijuana is an extremely tough plant, and will usually grow up to be strong and healthy despite some problems as a seedling.

Anyway, in the next few days i can expect to see about 3/4 of my seeds sprout. I'm making sure to keep the soil moist, and like i said, i moved my lamp right down to about an inch or two above the soil. This way, my sprouts will not feel the need to grow upwards for more light and have a long, spindly, leggy stems, but concentrate on forming new leaves. I want my plants to be as short and bushy as possible before i transplant them outdoors.

Here are some pics of Plant A spreading it's cotyledons for it's first rays of "sun" light
