So I put my plants into flowering about 2 days ago, they were 3 weeks old and about a foot high. I'm having some second thoughts and thinking I want to veg longer to increase my yield. So my question is, can I put my plants back into veg at this point for an extra week or two??If so, will their be any consequences?

I know all about stress and thats not what I'm worried about. Im worried about the hormone that is release when plants go into flowering. Also, 4 out of the 7 have shown preflowers. Btw they shot up about a half foot each in the past two nights! Please someone explain to me if this is a good idea or not!

It will be fine to change it back to veg. It has not started flowering yet so there will be no consequence for changing back now it will be fine.

I've never re-vegged a plant, but based on what I have read it should not be much of a problem after 2 days.

However, if over 50% of your plants are showing preflowers, that's a pretty good indication they are ready for the next stage.

Remember in the early stages of the flower phase the plant will explode in growth. Half a foot is just the beginning.

If it were me, I would continue on.

My advice - let them flower.

Good luck and good growing.

ok well i read on a post by roseman quoting fdd2blk that if you veg for 3 weeks youll get 60 - 75% the yield than if you veg for a full 5 weeks. Anyone tell me if this is true?

More time vegging is always better, but I don't recommend reverting the light cycle to veg in your case for two reasons:

1) Based on the information you've provided, the plants appear to be ready to go now. Every strain is different as far as these requirements are concerned.

2) You've already pulled the trigger.

thanks guys the consensus seems to be keep flowering. The strains are 1 Ak48(preflowers), 3 Ice (2/3 preflowers), 1 Snow white (preflower) 2 WW (0 preflowers)

its better to flower while there short anyway because the the lower buds on the tall plants are usually pretty week unless u got a plant mover or somthing

so fellows i decided to take your advice, the light is off... hope its for the best! Btw how long does it usually take for buds to start to appear and can i mist until they do??

i would think you should see signs of bug in about two weeks... i wouldn't really mist in flowering... i would think you would be ok to do so, but it really is not recomended to mist in flowering stage...
i just flipped my two weeks ago and have seen nice signs of flowering just the last day or two.. it all depends on the strains and all, but i would think that two weeks is a good baseline...
i also agreed with everyone else about just keeping it in flower, which it sounds like you did... so long as you saw some preflowers, it would indicate that they are ready to begin flowering... i read that same article that you did about roseman quoting fdd'ed...
