I will try and get better pics later tonight but anyone got an idea on what these are?
Another site said they though it was aphids but I cant find anything that resembles em. they have been around since I started with this soil so wouldn't they be mature if they were aphids or young fungus gnats?
I been searchin my arse off here to name these critters but near as I can tell....They aint spider mites cause I can see each one with my naked eye with no problem. Even my crappy camera can get some what of a close up (I know the pic's suck!) those are 1 gal pots and if you notice the edge of that pot is like 1/4 wide just to give an idea of the size of the bug. The plants are 2-3 weeks old (from seed) and show no signs of damage. These things came with the FFOF and are all over the soil. I returned the soil and they took it back...well threw it out back but said it was not SM cause they were to big. the owner said they only come out of soil when you water and he had seen em once before. I contacted FF and they said its hard to say if they are good or bad without a better pic.
you guys are my last hope.
They move pretty quick but don't jump or fly. they are just like tiny spiders. they seem almost clear and don't seem to hang on the plants, just on the soil and the rim of the pot. If they are bad, I am screwed cause I stored the bag of soil in the grow and did not notice until a few days ago I had company. Before I try repotting and sanitizing the room can I please get some
