Cream Mandarin (Fast Version)

Figured I would share this little delight with you guys and gals, my expectations being very low for freebies I was blown out of the water and this specific plant I chopped the top half off and decided for the first time to re-veg a plant!

The Smoke Report will be ready after drying / curing. I have one really nice bud that I chopped off her about 4 days ago to check if she was ready and I will either use that one or one that has fully cured. Or maybe both who the fuck knows.



Lets start out with the boring stuff and then we will get to the pictures.

Tent Size: 2x4x5 She was given the middle spot of the tent, not necessarily the prime location in the beginning 3 weeks but once I added the extra 240w light she wasn't about to share the space with anyone.

Lighting: Started with only 2 100w leds and then added a chinese right on top of this plant as she was in the middle and she soaked it up like it was the holy grail. (All the chinese haters I laugh at)

Pot Size: 1 Gal grow bag, cheapie 20 cent bag or whatever it costs. I usually grow my freebies in 1/2 or 1 gal.

Technique: Semi Scrog; I had 2 nets to hold her up but I really didn't give her time to fill out the tent. The crazy thing is she started growing into the light so I bent the stem multiple times and I am so glad I did. Each elbow I made became a nice big nug! . She filled out the area nicely even without veg time.

Nutes: Fox Farms Soil / Fox Farms Grow, Bloom, Tiger and maybe one dose of cha ching, Epsom Salt, Lots of Water (PH exactly 0 times, I stopped Phing a long time ago)

Ease of Growth: One of the easiest plants I have ever grown, water water water little nutes, water water water water. I let her have every single leaf she started with. Maybe lost 2-7 leaves the whole grow. I would say that she is not pest resistant but she basically calls to them like a siren in the night. You will have to spray preventative if you don't wanna risk it.

Smells: Rub the stem (which turned completely purple... not a little but completely dark ass purple) smells like oranges, but the buds smell like grapes. It is the oddest phenomina to me because I was expecting her to end up like oranges but now she smells like grape koolaid or grape pez candies. Actually she smells more like grape soda. I am wondering if it is because she lived her life next to the GDPS .

Weight: I would say at least 1 oz, the nugs are dense as fuck.

This is not the first freebie I have been happy with but the genetics being "cream mandarin auto x diesel" my expectations were lower than C grade.

Just to drive this point home, I have grown hundreds of strains and I have not once thought "hey ill reveg that". This time I cut her in half and said yup we are going to try and keep you around.

Thank you, I appreciate the reply! This was the best part of today's work. The bottom half of the OG plants had so much leaf it was killing me... literally I didn't smoke because I was like fuck I just don't want to look at you right now. Then when the lights switched I opened up the night babies and she was calling out to me. I was like now you girls I can work with lolololol!!!

After growing Sweet Seeds Dark Devil Auto (freebie) I was so let down I almost sent them an email. But now that I have this girl I am almost wanting to send them my pictures even though they aren't amazing they look better than the "almost finished" one on their attitude page.

Ahhh man I am finally relaxing after like 16 hours straight >.< it feels good, and you replying so fast just put the icing on the cake

If she survives the re-veg I am going to give her another name, cream mandarin just doesn't sound like it fits. Especially if it is my own special clone only (as long as one gives credit where it is due it i all good right)

You catch that dog hair .... damn dog dude I don't know what I can do to keep her hair away from me in my situation. That shit floats or sticks to me and then bam lolol. It isn't that bad but I always notice at least one hair.

I shoulda posted the picture of the main stem lol... that thing was so purple I thought it looked black.

I appreciate the kind words, I don't think I have reached my peak by far but I am slightly amazed at how beautiful she is. I believe the genetics played a big role in this one. I kept it simple and I got rewarded for it.

I honestly don't know anyone who would feed as little and not PH their water like me. Every person that I have ever met that grows always insists on the PH. The fox farms nutes do drop the ph down but I water with 8.0 like 3-7 times before I give nutes. If you can learn anything from me it would be k.i.s.s.

Love your plants and they will love you. Try to feed them like we feed cows is not natural. 800-1000 ppms is plenty enough and if they show signs of needing anything I use my instincts and sometimes backup on the forum to figure it out. I let them be them... don't pull their leaves off they don't like it. But if you have a friggin bush going on with no air flow they won't like that either. It is all about balance and I feel I found a nice plant to help that balance.

Damn those are gorgeous nugs! Well done.

And good luck with the reveg- I wonder if the "Fast" element might affect it's chances? The "Fast" is a tiny bit of ruderalis, right? I think that's what Sweet Seeds says, and if so it may make it less eager to reveg. I look forward to your results, and smoke report.

That is exactly my thoughts, except this plant yields more than my GDP clone and maybe more than my OG I have that is going to come down in a week or two.

Once I weigh her I will be able to tell you fully but I would say she is a medium yielder. Very acceptable. If I were to veg her out I would be very happy with what she could produce. Ever arm on her had a nice big nugget on top. Super Super dense too! I got LUCKY!

She is undergoing the drying process right now, I am almost praying to the weed gods not to let her lose that grapeness! My expectations were super low after running two autos from the same company. This plant would be considered Grade A in my opinion. That is why I wanna keep her around.

I've seen some meh grows of their gear and also some interesting ones... now you have me thinking about OD this season - I already have Serious 6 planned and I could fill my plant count with the seeds I have but..... How quickly did it flower for you?

7 weeks, maybe 4 weeks from seed, might be a little more but she didn't get much time to grow at all as she was in the micro cab.

50 days cut, very impressed but like you said you have seen good and bad. The two bad that I got from the same company were worse than anything I got from swerve. They yielded about a gram each.... auto flowers are not my thing. This to me is a freak of nature but I could be wrong.

I was also just thinking grape pez is more of a taste not a smell so it is a very odd comparison. However I felt as if by smelling the buds I tasted the grape pez in my mouth if that makes any sense.

The plant above looks great. It looks about as frosty as most of my Peyote Purples and those things are very frosty.

It is the frostiest girl in the entire room of over 20 strains.... shocked is an understatement. This was like a miracle from the weed heavens. EVEN MORE SHOCKED that she was under chinese lighting and looks that freaking good!

There are some very good grows of a lot of Sweet Seeds strains at uk420 and icmag. SSHZ here has grown out probably a hundred of more Green Poisons and the people he supplies really like it.

I also have a green poison she is looking good so far but she didn't come through like the cream mandarin . I am slowly growing fond of more and more seedbanks while I shut off the scammers and phonies.

HAHAHHAHA that is one gnarly nose hair grandpas gift.

My dog is a cattle dog she has gray, white, black, and some gold. you can get lucky at any moment. My favorite is going into class and having the girl that sits next to me tell me how much hair I have all over . This dog sheds like a beast.
