well then my plans just got cheaperYeah I believe it would be way past the point of saturation. I think 40w of cree per sq foot is about the line to toe, but other more experienced members will chime in shortly
the plants really like those whites ? I am still reading and trying to learn as much as possible .... but just from what ive read and seen pics of so far I AM for sure 100% sold on 3000k cree cobsI'm using 5 CXA3070 Z4 3000k at 1400 ma,that's 52 watts per COB in a 3x3 tent and pulling monster numbers.
This comes out to just about 30W/ft². That's where I ended up with my setup, too- though I'm not using COBs. Yet!I'm using 5 CXA3070 Z4 3000k at 1400 ma,that's 52 watts per COB in a 3x3 tent and pulling monster numbers.
Monkey see ... monkey do....... cheers !!! I'll shoot for that numberThis comes out to just about 30W/ft². That's where I ended up with my setup, too- though I'm not using COBs. Yet!
Right over my head ........the eternal question... who speaks of par wats and who speaks of dissipation watts?.... when talking about w / ft2 or w / m2....

Think he's saying we don't really go by watts per sq foot, but that's just him being like a grammar-nazi. Watts per sq foot as long as the audience knows what model cob and what the OP is looking for is an okay tool to make it easier to digest in people's minds. So you keep doing you OP and don't worryRight over my head .....
It's also an easy yardstick to use when comparing light sources, even if it's not super accurate.Think he's saying we don't really go by watts per sq foot, but that's just him being like a grammar-nazi. if everybody did this, nobody would argue that cobs/leds can't compete...my modest opinion....my pov... ...when you talk about w / ft2 or w / m2 ...you would (or must) remark if you are talking about dissipations wats or par watts... my modest opinion...
