Digi>> looks dialed in to me...niiice grow. plant photonics got some good juju going on
Yeah man thanks:) they are solid quality. It's cold here so i thought adding a couple CXA3050's would be a good idea, more productive than adding a 80w heater, which i have powered on during lights out.

Maybe add 1 CXA3050 / SF but as previously mentioned you seem dialed in already. Good work.

Maybe try a small cmh vertical in the middle? That would probably be better than running an led hot I'd think..

so you want to run a couple of these at lights out for heat? or heat the hell out of your plants at lights on? lol you make no sense.

You been smoking:) Makes total sense. I'm running an 80w heater during light out BUT wanted to add some more light during light ON as it's only 68F with 2 panels running.
I thought two CXA3050's would bring the temps up to 78-ish??

As far as I can tell there is no significant change in overall efficiency from cool to warm but keeping them cool may increase reliability.

Cooler temps may increase the drive current. Some drivers have circuitry to keep the current output fixed but most decrease their output as driver temp rises.
Efficiency should be better when cool. Life time of the electronics (whether it's a driver or the LED itself) will be prolonged.

Hey any updates? I'd like to see the area with two plants! I bet that screen is filling up!
Day 7 of 12/12

Here ya go. Nothing too exciting as I'm still filling the screen out.

The C99 is on the left and the smaller one on the right is a little blue widow clone from my past grow.

I probably could have vegged them another week since it's been colder which slows them down a bit, but I was getting ancy.

The C99 is in a much bigger bucket (same bucket as previous blue widow grow) than the blue widow clone (5L bucket), otherwise if I had two of the same buckets, it would be overkill

I think it should fill out well in the next two weeks

I noticed you said you were also running infrared and UVB lights? What is the wattage of them? I was looking on amazon for some UVB bulbs and found a CFL at 13w and 26w. What did you go with for your area?

No prob, I'll take one when I get home. The LED's are so friggen bright, that I think I'll have to take it while it's off, but I'll see what it looks like while it's on as well

I accidentally looked at one and a hard time seeing for a good bit.
These are freeking bright, just a glance and the image was burnt in retina for a long while.
Caution, Do not do this whether by accident or not!!!

Mine is a 15W T8 floro. I think I read somewhere that you want to supplement around 10% of UV in comparison to your total light. So if you have 400W of light, then get around 40W of UV.

3 weeks of 12/12 today. I'll post a pic later this afternoon. Also, I upped my lights on time by 30 minutes today and will continue this for two more weeks, which then I'll up it 30 more for 2 more weeks and finally bring it back down to 12 hours the final 2 weeks to ripen them up.

On a side note, I ordered a couple air pots and will be testing them out on my next run. I always like trying new things :-)

For my next grow I am going to try 100% coco in the air pots with a small layer of hydroton on the bottom for better draining (1/2" to 1")

I'll be moving my two c99 clones into the .3 Gallon air pots today and will veg those for a few weeks and will then transplant them to their final 2 gallon air pots for flowering.

I think the size of pots I got should do well for a two plant scrog.

Hopefully the c99 turns out good as I'm only 3 weeks into flowering, but so far so good as this bitch is already pumping out serious resin at this early stage.

Nice choice , I would say after using them, they drain very well already so you might not need the hydroton unless you already purchased some...and water nice and slooowwww lol I learned the hard way the water likes to pout out the sides

IMO ditch those funky air pots and save yourself some time. They are messy and end up evaporating your water too quickly. After trying just about everything in the book, I've found the best pot to be the 2-gallon white paint pail from Home Depot. The white pails work great for reflecting light in your grow area and they also discourage root-wrapping since they see a bit of light when reaching the edge of the pail.

Make these hempy-style by drilling a 1 inch hole so that the bottom of the hole is exactly 2 inches from the bottom of the pail. Then silicone glue a 2"-square of fiberglass screen ($4 at home depot for a huge roll) over the hole, and you're done.

Fill the bottom of these pails up to ~3 inches (just enough to cover the hempy hole) with Grodan croutons, then 100 percent coco from there up. The Grodan cube resi allows the roots to really go apeshit, whereas the hydroton is too hard to really let them thrive down there. I've tried both side-by-side and the hydroton is no bueno. If you can't get croutons, you can always dice up some of the bigger blocks with a good knife.

2 of these buckets under your custom panel would certainly have you stoked! I only need to water mine every 2-3 days.
