I vote for all 5000k. That's what I use for both my mother and veg and it works very well. They grow well and don't stretch a lot. I use this Philips bulb http://www.homedepot.com/p/Philips-120W-Equivalent-Daylight-5000K-PAR38-Dimmable-LED-Flood-Light-Bulb-425280/203553286 with the lens removed with 4 10w 5000k bulbs for my mother for about 55w total. My veg light uses 8 Vero13 5000k emitters running at 10w each for a total of 80w.Instead of buying another led panel I'm gonna try to veg a 2x2 area with cree bulbs from home depot. Would 4 or 5 9w lights do it? and should I go all 5k or throw in 1 2700? thanks in advance

I have been thinking about them as they are more efficiant, but I'm not DIY man per say so that"s the only thing making me apprehensive.....Have you considered a DIY COB build? for a 2x2 area in veg, you could probably get away with 1 or 2 cobs.
