Critique my DWC tub + current problems, advise appreciated

First time DWC, dabbled with growing a bit in the past, now doing it a bit more seriously.

Roots were doing GREAT until about last night; I woke up this morning, the leaves were a little droopy so I was like WTF, lifted the plant and I saw all this slime and crap.

So basically, the 2 questions are

1) Got any recommendations for improvement?
2) Any tips re: root rot?

PH is currently 4.4 (dropped alot over night, letting it stablize), <300ppm, 80.5' (too high I know). I just put some ice packs in there and will probably do frozen bottles for a while. I also cleaned the roots this morning (the pics are from like 10 minutes ago), and sprayed them with h2o2 water.

Specs on the tub
10gallon rubbermaid, wrapped in pandafilm-type material, 2 24" flexible airstones.

Nutes/Other shit in the water
- RO water from the water store (0ppm = awesome)
- 1tsp superthrive
- 1.5tsp/gallon Sensi A+B
- A bit more than 10 tablespoons worth of 3% h2o2

H202, for my 8 gallon DWC I would use 5 cap fulls (thats right, I measured in caps, no it wasn't important to measure for precision because 3% H2O2 isn't going to dramatically affect pH, and it's not gonna hurt my plant) every 4 days to prevent root rot. If you use organic nutes, H2O2 will destroy them.

Did ya say ph was 4.4? If so ouch! I like my res at 5.85 for takin up nutes. If you are gettin slime in your res here are a few things to look into.
1. Do you have enough air pumping in your res, (let your air pumps go 24/7)
2. Is my res light proof, Use paint or tape to make your res totally light proof!
3. Is my res to warm I like mine from 68 to 75 degrees, Looks you are workin on the latter,

I hope this helps ya man Bubbleponics is a great way to grow!

also run your plants with pure ro or distilled water for a few days I wouldnt use h2o2 anymore as well

Oddly enough, the situation seems to have improved a bit.

Plant is growing ahead, way less sludge and whatnot on the roots. Still not perfect, but I'm not so sure I'm keeping this around anyway until I can get a reliable way to drop water temps.

All I did was a ton of h2o2 in the water, spray h2o2/water mix on roots daily, and frozen water bottles twice a day.

But yeah, this definitely changed the way I look at DWC; keeping res temps down is gonna be a real challenge
