more or less thats it, you could look in to it a bit more such as you like the yeild of one plant or its super strong 1 hit shit but lacks yeild you cross the 2 together and you get best of both worlds or somwhere inbetween.

yea pretty much or find a male you like scrap the pollens off and save them. Make sure you CLEAN up before looking at your females dont want to pollinate them all. Then find a female u like and rub the pollen on lower branches and let it flower. Seeds you get should be your new strain

another way is 2 take a stem off two mothers and put them in rockwool then it grows

HUH? Do you mean that the two will grow into one plant and you get a cross of the qualities of the two plants? I would think that would just get you two separate plant that have there roots intertwined and growing too close to each other. If this somehow works, it would be great because I do have two mother plants that are different species and I would love to genetically cross them somehow without seeding them.

Home grown I believe is actually talking about Grafting.

Grafting is a method where you take two shoots from two different plants. (I am not sure whether they both need to be females/males/or both) but you slice the stem of each shoot at an angle and join them together with a hormone, and stick them in your rockwool.

Now I am not entirely sure what happens next, I do not know if a new shoot sprouts up or what happens but one way or another the genetics get crossed and you have your new strain. I'm sure you can google "Grafting" and find out more about it.
