It's called the Beam's Test and you need a 5% sol'n of KOH, (potassium hydroxide) for the reagent that you add a few drops to a few mls of decarbed pot extract that you hope has CBD in it. I use 0.2g of sample in 6mls of naphtha but Lighter fluid for Zippo lighters will work fine. Swirl it around for a while then suck up the naphtha with a syringe to put in a clean vial then add the drops of reagent. If you see a red/purple colour you got CBD and teh darker the colour change is the higher the CBD content. If you use exact measurements for each sample you can compare the colour to see which is highest. The CBD content checker is a new one on me too, so thanks for that. Will be testing that out soon.
Here I used a THC strain for #I and 4 CBD ones for the rest. V was supposed to be an all CBD strain that I planned to use for breeding stock but showed no reaction at all. I was so disappointed I went down to the grow room and hacked her off at the base mercilessly!
