Cruching?

I have a question. Has anybody had experience with crushing the stems during veg for better nutrient uptake to the buds.

This is called super-cropping, lots of growers use this technique with great success. It's best to bend/snap the branches after the plant starts flowering not during veg. During the vegitative stage the branches are very soft and limber almost rubbery, most of the time they will bounce back into place if you bend them. In flower they will get very stiff and ridgid to support the buds. If done correctly the snapped stalk will begin to form an elbow and reroute the water and nutrient uptake throughout the branch.

I was under the impression that you weren't supposed to stress the plant during flowering. It would have to focus on healing instead of producing buds.

Yeah I dont supercrop in flower, maybe if I had height issues but I'd probably lst before supercropping in that case. I'm not sure why else youd want to in flower.

Two main benefits of doing it in veg: let lower shoots catch up while supercropped ones repair themselves to get a nice even canopy, and strengthening the stems so they can support themselves later.
