Ahhh I see what your saying. Okay I'll try that on the next batch. Maybe I'll winterize the last batch that went greenish.
Thanks for the post Yoda! What I did was grind my material and put it in the mason jar, which is where I do my extraction (consider it my tube) and I put my butane can into the freezer (0f) for 15 hours. I then spray the material and let it soak for 3-5 minutes (keep in mind im using butane not ISO). With ISO you are correct, the the tek is much different than butane. I'd be screwed with 3-5 minute ISO wash times .Hey WM I'm a BHO guy not ISO so I don't have experiance with the iso wash yet but with the BHO and I'm sure with all solvent extracts the color of your oil is also going to really depend on when the flowers were chopped. Sorry if you posted that info already. It's late and I didn't read back any pages yet. I run lot's of different batches of BHO from different farmers and my own stuff and I get so many different colors of oil all the time. And my Tek stays the same every time.
I get oil from light yellow to brown.
I have also found that machine processed buds really make a darker oil even if it has been chopped at an earlier cloudy trich only flowering time. The machines beat up the flowers and the resin just yielding darker oil. So not sure maybe those buds you got may either be from a late harvest and/or machine trimmed?
Also when you grind your material is it frozen? When I run any oil I first have the product deep froze, and my tane deep froze, then once ground I pack the tubes and re freeze then again till deep froze before blasting. Once again I know that is different Tek than the iso but maybe there's some relevance there too?
Anyway now that I said all that I'll go back and read the earlier posts
