Crunch Time

Hey guys!

Trying to figure something out right quick. So I started growing an ATF seed back in early march [was lucky to find a seed in an 1/8th I bought back in November]. I actually got super lucky cause the seed turned out to be an auto flower / feminized seed. So about a month in it started flowering on its own and now I'm realizing it's gonna be done very soon. Approximately 20% amber trichs, but only about 10% of the pistils are orange. About a week ago I found out I may have to leave town in late June, but that's exactly when I thought I'd be cutting it down. So, I have a two part question...

1. Is it possible the plant will be ready to harvest before all of the pistils recede and turn orange/purple? I almost have always waited for the hairs to turn at least 80%, but typically they turn before I see so many amber trichs, but this plant had been far from normal for me and the trichs are getting to where I'm typically happy enough to cut em down [30-50%].

2. If I should wait for all the hairs to go amber [for best quality], would it really be that much worse if I cut it down in 2 weeks anyway, so that I can cure before I leave town?

Sorry if that's too much or not enough information. I've attached pictures and can always answer any questions you might have.

Cheers,

You still have about three weeks before you leave? If so, it may be pretty close if not done by then. You could chop and hang to dry when you leave, then jar and cure when you return.

Keep the thread updated with pics before you leave. There's plenty of people here that can help guide you through this.

Ignore the amber on leaves. Called false finish. Amber on buds and close sugars.

How long are you gone for?
No one to water it while gone?

That's close but no cigar - longer then 3 weeks of run time yet.....

Okay, didn't know that. Thanks. But I'll be gone from the 23rd-1st or possibly the 5th. Just not sure about whether I should trust my roommate enough. I could take it to a friend but I'm just nervous to put my trust in someone else when it's so far along in the process

I would find the strength and have someone care for it, till I got back.....it will be close then.
