IMO I'd keep backups of what you love while you do this. Unless you want to put a gun to your own head figuratively.

If I were you, since you live in the land of OG, I'd be looking for something different that suits me. Especially since you mention being bored.

I'm gonna keep a back of a few. For sure.

It's hard because I've tried hazes, sativas, and they make me paranoid and panicky.

I've grown indicas, I hate couch lock laziness. Lack of motivation seems to define the stereotypical pot head. I don't like the buzz.

I've tried blue berry, cheese, skunks, afghani, if could make a list a mile long of what I've grown.

To me, og is the perfect high. Combo of head and body. The taste is second to none. It's what I like weed to taste like.

4 strains, or crosses of these strains have I ever said "damn, I love it"

Og kush, chem, bubba and sour diesel.

I been smoking my face off og for years. I smoke it every single day, I've not found anything that can get better. My amigos come over with shit, I usually take a hit or two and go roll up my own joint. There's no tolerance build up, no ceiling, and every time I take a hit I think of how wonderfully potent the og flavor is. Its a bitch to grow, she clones like shit, vegges like shit, tall lanky, floppy, and doesn't yield worth a shit.

I bought a new chem cross. Can't wait to try it out.

I bought a new sour d cross, same.

I bought several new og crosses,

I got a cut of katsu, and I can't wait.

I found 1 Tahoe out of a couple packs that I am running again. I cut it early do to a vacation but even a couple weeks early it was better than avg.

Also a 818 headband that has a super weird smell that's hanging to dry.

My whole flower tent is filled with new shit too. Leeroy, the funk, a cut of og from a buddy, a Tahoe cross made in Ann Arbor, canna venture fire diesel.

I think it's time to put the face off to the side. I'm gonna keep a cut, but all my other shit is going out the window.

I'm kind of looking forward to the change in flavors. The part that really sucks is keeping a cone of every damn plant. It's tedious and takes up so much space.

Out of all these genetics and breeders, I would be happy finding 1 plant that's the caliber of face off. Or in my opinion anyway.

It's not that they're not good, they're excellent, I just need a change, or a new challenge. Getting tired of the routine.

I have a problem letting anything go, even if it's just alright, I try and justify keeping it around.

I think I'm going to flower everything I have, do some massive pheno hunting through many beans and start a whole new collection.

I have a clones of katsu that I never flowered yet so that might be a start. I think several packs of forest fire, several packs of Alcatraz og, one pack of yeti f3, and one pack of great full breath x cherry puff, I should start a new pheno hunt and look for new keepers. I've got many more that I want to run too.

Anybody else ever done the same? Are you happy or regretful?

I think there is way too much good shit out there to get hung up on just a few strains. plus its exciting running something new.
 
Seems you've tried a lot, maybe something less Hazey (Ie: Less Thai) and more Columbian style? IDK, sounds like you got the best of the best Kushes already, I'd probably try some landrace stuff being put out by Mandala/Ace/Cannabiogen. Maybe Peyote Purple if you wanna stay with the Kushes since I hear it's pretty awesome (plus I just popped a few and it'd be interesting to see how others do with it).
 
You are a picky man kgp. Not that it's a bad thing at all, I know you do bean runs too.

Never had face off that I'm aware of. Oddly OGs can be underwhelming, but I propose this is due to people passing off S1 or something their friend gave them. Very few in my opinion and I've had pretty decent exposure from a smoking point of view, were worthwhile. Perhaps it's also growers making mistakes, or picking girls early.

So much cannabis out there to get stuck on one thing, unless of course it's working for ya as a medicine. Don't fix what isn't broken.

I've surrendered to the fact I can never grow everything. But I do want to try as many different girls as possible, life is short and perhaps I can find some enjoyable gems along the way.

I was also going to say wow you've committed yourself spending that kind of money on genetics. Then I pause, look over to my stash and I've spent over a grand on one breeder alone, and still haven't gotten to everything. In addition, I've spent on other breeders as well but haven't even gotten to them yet. Finally I have a wish list of beans I'm sure I'm going to purchase next, which means probably a few orders before the end of the year.
 
Ive spent thousands and expect I need to spend a few thousand more until I'm comfortable I have the diversity necessary.

Actually, one more recommendation especially after smoking this Anesthesia - it might be right up your alley. It's Super Skunk x Herijuana. It's quite functional. I had a lady who hated my Black Widow and also Kushes because they were either too paranoia inducing or lethargic who loved this one and I just found a much stronger phenotype than the one she's tried. All plants were good, some will be great. Structure wise it's awesome, great vigor and yields. Hashy smelling with sweet undertones. Real good pain relief too. Might be something worth running for you. I'll try to get a picture up later of the outdoor girls and also the finished indoor buds.
 
this year for me will be querkle, marionberry kush, and the third is either going to be maybe critical cheese or pineapple chunk not sure yet.

Don't get excited everyone. I'm just over here like a kid waiting to open up his presents on Christmas.

I will fully disclose this when confirm it is what it is. Oh the suspense.!

I might have a great reason to cull.
