ya if you go down to the county office and apply for the ID card and pay the fee, you are on their books. You don't need the card though. The reason most people get it is for added security. It lets the authorities know you're a recognized legal patient in your state and they can't mess with you. With your doctors letter, they can still arrest you take all of your herb and hold you until you are verified. That only happens when a cop wants to be a dick but we all know thats what many of the kind strive to be.Curious about the difference between a scrip and a card. From what I understand, a scrip is only in the database that dispensaries check, but with a card you are in a county/state database. I don't want to be in any data base I don't need to be in. Is this correct?
Doctors in California can not issue cultivation licenses. That is a scam. They can only issue an recommendation to use and an amount you can use per year. My doctors rec says I can use up to 32 ounces a year. Little known fact. In California if a doctor does not specify an expiration date your rec does not expire. Some doctors claim SB 420 says recommendations must be renewed yearly. Not true. SB 420 says county health dept. IDs must be renewed yearly

They might not advise that but doctors do it and it held up in the Cali supreme court.[*]The California Medical Association (CMA) advises doctors to NOT put quantity amounts on their cannabis recommendations.
