Curing is the process of letting dried cannabis sit in the dark and cool. So they're one and the same.Interesting, so what RH is best for storing my product? Like once I've achieved my goal with curing.
The Boveda 62s are made for both drying and curing. They can be used to cure after a 3-5 day dry, burping the jar every day or two. Why worry about maintaining a rH when there's a tool that does it for you? In fact, most people who use Boveda swear it's the best cure they've ever had.49% is too low. And I do NOT recommend using Boveda (62% -- which was specifically developed for cannabis) packets until you are putting your cured bud away for storage. I dry mine for about a week (depending on conditions), then jar it with hygrometers in each jar. Keep the relative humidity at 55% to 65%, burping occasionally. Once I've maintained that RH for 3 or 4 weeks, I'll remove the hygrometers (to use on my next batch) and put a 62% Boveda packet in each jar and put them away until I get around to smoking it. The packets are GREAT for storage, but your product needs to already be properly dried and semi-cured before you start using them, imho.
