curing/drying out

im looking for some help,im reading the forums and everyone says about curing there weed.here in the uk everyone i no just hang the buds upside down under the light for 12 hours ,leave it for 12 hours then do it again for 6 hours.by what i have been reading his is not a good path to go down.so what is the best way to dry/cure the buds.sorry if this has been requested several times before but all the answers seem to be by people from warmer climates. thanks

when its time to chop em. mine never go under light hell i wont even cut em in the light. light kills mad thc and makes your shit not as potent.
i cut the plant at the stem at the bottom. hang the whole plant minus some of the largest fans that i cut off right away. then i hang em in a dark cool closet over night. the next day i come back and cut em down to branches . i clean up the buds taking all the little leafs off and then i hang the branches in the dark. i put a little fan in there not directly on the branches just into the corner to keep air moving between the branches and buds. 2 days about later they are ready to be cut to just buds. once the weed feels dry on the outside but still a little wet in the middle. then i put most of it into jars. evry day i take em out depending on wetness. usually even if it feels crunchy after that first day in the jar it will be wet again. then i take em out and put em in the bottom of a cardboard box. the air gets to em and they get moved around by me. as they dry im able to feel when they are just right to go back into the jars....wet wet wet weed left in a glass jar will mold sooooo fast youll shit. so watch em. when its dry enough to smoke i keep the buds in the jars and they stay there for at least a week 2 at most to cure. opening the jar foir a few minutes every day....bam then you have a nice harvest...after doing it a few times, you start to find different ways to do it better....some ways may work in my house but not in your house because we live in different places, temp and all that....never dry em in the light it will kill thc....anytime your messin with the plant weather its transplanting watering or harvesting you want to do it early morning right before the lights come on...hey if you have any more ?sss ask away.

you dont want/need any light when drying/curing your buds,also keep the temps around 70-75f with plenty of air circulation, hang them like this for 7-10 days,after this they should be dry,then pop into wilkinsons get some large glass jars, put your buds in the jars and keep the jars in your wardrobe opening the lids 2-3 times a day for a week or so making sure you turn your buds daily. avoid temptation to quick dry or sample and after 2 -3 weeks youll have shit hot weed my friend.

Normal room light will not effect the thc, only intense light such as sunlight or light from a HID will have negative effects on it.
