Curing jar selections?

Okay guys so im right around the corner from harvest and I have a quick question. Im looking at airtight wide mouth jars for curing. Im currently trying to spend the least I can as funds right now are a bit tight. Would they work? it says the are airtight and fairly cheap.

What about zip lock bags? I suppose they aren't air tight and probably would leak smell right?

I know, Mason jars are hard to get now. If you use zip locks, just make sure to use the Freezer Bags. And keep them in a dark place of course.

just make sure your buds are dry before jarring them. i like to put the buds in paper grocery bags for a few days after they hang dry for about a week, then jar/freezer bag them

I use the wide mouth Mason jars too. They're hard to get right now though. People are scandalous. Last time I looked they were like $60 on EBay. Well they went down a little, lol.

Yeah bro its pretty crazy. I never seen them so expensive. I suppose its that time of the year though everyone is jumping on them lol.

I think Ill just go ahead and order the wide mouths for $14 on amazon ( got some different sizes) and Freezer bag whatever else I cant fit. I suppose it can work as a little experiment to see the difference. Just didn't want to sacrifice anything ya know?

i wonder if more people are jarring vegetables from the 'rona gardens they planted?

It's the Covid shit. Everyone is growing a garden, or starting to grow their own weed. All the grow supplies are getting more expensive. It's pissing me off. I was getting all this stuff easy and cheap before. I still have a couple extra cases of jars that I bought before. But my freaking ISO is a bitch to get, and never on sale anymore. I was buying the 99% shit for $8 a gallon on sale before, now I can't even find it almost.

thanks, good mention. damn, i forgot about the 5 gallon pickle buckets. not gamma, but they have that rubber ring around the top. those buckets that cooked/boiled whole eggs come in also.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys I'll definitely swing by good will or something and see what I can find. I just can't shell out $40 for a case lol .. I bet people are just buying walmarts stock out and reselling them on Amazon and the bay

Idk what you are using the ISO for but if for cleaning purposes you can get denatured alcohol from sherwin williams 1 gallon for like $18.. works well to clean and what not but idk about doing extracts with that stuff.
