Curing--Jars smell Piney??? Is there a fix

I got taken off guard, not prepared to harvest 25 plants. My brother in law and I wet harvested (I know dry is better but we were using a spin pro). We moved all the buds and shake into a huge hanging wrack in a dark closet. I Turned an oscillating fan on low. The buds were dry in 2 days, I put them in the jars on the 3rd.

I had expected the dry to take longer, but I live in the desert where its often under 15% humidity even though the temperature was in the low 70' in my house.

Now I have been burping the jars for 15-20 minutes every day for 5 days.

The problem is they smell very piney. I've heard this is bad. They don't smell like hay which is also bad, they smell like pine. Is there any way to remedy this and bring back the natural awesomeness of the bud smell.

It's probably easier, to just bone dry them and skip curing. When your doing a lot of bud, it's practically impossible to get it perfect i would assume, rather have everything dry as hell, instead of too wet to burn right if you ask me. just my .02

I have smelled a few different strains that have a distinct "pine" smell. One that comes to mind is Cindy 99.
It is just the terpenes that make it smell this way, it's in the strain that you are growing.

Pine-tree odor is probably from beta-pinene, which is also found in cedar and pine sap.

(My guess)

Take a small slice of orange and put it into an open sandwich baggie. Set the baggie gently into the curing jar so it sits above the product. Seal jar w/baggie for 12-24 hours and open. Your bud will be moister but it will have an even pleasing nose. Remove the fruit and continue to cure as usual. Good luck, BigSteve.
