My man, take a seat and listen to what I have to say. No one is truly curing weed. What they’re doing is slowly and often inefficiently redistributing moisture.
The constant opening and burping is simply a way to dry the buds a little after being sealed up, which makes the moisture move from the middle of the buds to the surface.
Instead of doing this, I’ll dry my buds until they are very dry on the outside. Then I’ll seal them up for 36-48hrs, without opening.
Then I’ll open and lay them out on a screen for an hour or 2.
Depending on how good my dry was, I will repeat this process once or twice. This process is more sweating than curing.
Once that moisture has been redistributed, the buds are good to go. I’ll jar them and open every now and then, mostly out of curiosity.
Don’t get me wrong, after they’re dried and sweated, they’ll change a little over time after being jarred. Some may like it better, some not so much. I think the best smoke is relatively soon after the dry and sweat.
